Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Edition goes official

Galaxy S7 edge Olympics

#Samsung has just outed the Olympic Games Edition Galaxy S7 edge, sporting different colored accents to make up for the six colors on the official Olympic Games emblem. We recently came across a leak which showed the Olympic Edition S7 edge, so it was only a matter of time before the handset went official.

Retailer Best Buy will exclusively sell the handset in the U.S., so your buying options are fairly limited as far as retailers are concerned. This shouldn’t be much of a problem for fans who are eager to get their hands on the smartphone as Best Buy has its outlets spread across the country.

The handsets will also be made available in Brazil, China, Korea, and Germany. As this is a limited edition variant, only 2,016 units will be produced, so you’ll have to be really lucky to pick one of these up. The company hasn’t shared pricing information as of yet. This limited edition model will be available starting July 18.

As far as additional features are concerned, barring a few goodies and some wallpapers/themes, you shouldn’t expect any other changes with this particular variant of the Galaxy S7 edge. The hardware will remain the same, which includes the 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved display, a quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 3,600 mAh battery.

Check out the official launch video of the handset below.
