S7 Edge Bootloader Exception Error

Problem: My Samsung S7 Edge started restarted randomly a couple of weeks ago. Then once it went off and didn’t start, we tried all the combinations for booting from ‘How to fix Samsung s7 edge that won’t turn on (troubleshooting guide)’ but nothing worked. Then randomly the phone started. Such behaviour happened a couple of times again.  And then today the phone hanged, it started restarting a couple of times with Touchwiz errors (app stopped working messages) as soon as the phone started. And then the phone went completely off. After trying to charge, restart, hard boot, etc the phone displayed an error message in red on black screen. Pic of error message here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Nmv26hdayiEpWQZh1 Please help.

Solution: It looks like the phone software has become corrupt. To troubleshoot this problem try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

In case the reset fails to fix the problem then you should try flashing the phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can get the file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Keeps Freezing And Restarting

Problem: Hi, my samsung s7 edge started to freeze when watching a video it would make a loud buzzing noise, freeze and then restart. since that has happened the phone keeps freezing and restarting again and again. but will only free with the buzzing noise when watching a video. I have put the phone into safe mode and it still restarts and i have also done a factory reset on the phone and still no luck. any help would be great

Solution: Do you have a microSD card installed in your phone? If you have then try removing this as this might be causing the problem.

In case the issue still occurs even if the phone does not have a microSD card and since you have already performed a factory reset which doesn’t fix the problem then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S7 Edge Charges Very Slow

Problem: I had to replace my screen and decided while I had the phone disassembled to replace the battery with another oem battery which was at 0% when I plugged in to start charging it Once reassembled the phone is now charging extremely slow. With the phone turned of it is only at 59% after 12 hours of charge. I am using the oem charger and cable.

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this particular case is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install ay apps in your phone yet. Charge your phone then check if the issue still occurs. If it still does then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in it.
  • Try using different charging cords and wall chargers to charge your phone.

In case the issue persists then the problem is most likely caused by the replacement battery. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.

S7 Edge Not Turning On

Problem: My samsung galaxy s7 edge turned off by itself while I was using it and even when I plugged in the charger it will not turn on and there’s no LED on the top being shown as well. It was restarting a few time before that and I recently completed a software update as well.

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger. If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
  • Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Not Charging After Getting Wet

Problem: It has been more than a year since i bought my s7 edge i never used it in water, recently i used the S7 edge in water for taking few snaps . After being used in water and when the battery drained out on connecting the charger it’s showed moisture content but after drying it up i tried it was charging . Now the charging is also malfunctioning and when connected to PC its show USB is not being recognized  i have to tilt slide all the ways to charge the S7 edge .. what may be the actual problem – is it the S7 edge USB port is damaged.

Solution: You need to make sure that the charging port of the phone is dry before connecting it to a charger. You can use a vacuum or a hair dryer to make sure that the charging port is free from liquid. If the port is already dry and you are still having issues charging the phone even when using a different charger and charging cord then it’s very likely that the charging port is damaged. You need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Edge Unresponsive With Green LED Light

Problem: Hi, I have an S7 edge and this morning after turning my alarm off, my screen went black. My phone is now unresponsive with just a green light constantly visible. I have tried the soft reset and nothing is working. I have also tried charging from different ports and cleaning the charging port. Is there anything else I am able to do ? Kind regards

Solution: Since you have already performed the recommended troubleshooting steps for this particular issue which doesn’t help fix the problem then you will need to bring this phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Not Turning On

Problem: I’m using galaxy s7 edge. The phone shuts off by itself while I was browsing facebook. I tried all the resets that you have but to no avail. However, after about 2 days, I tried charging It, it showed a charging logo. I tried to install a custom os, but it failed and I had to unplug it midway. Now it doesn’t work anymore.

Solution: It’s likely that the phone software has been corrupted by the incomplete installation of the custom OS. Try flashing your phone with its stock firmware file using Odin. If this doesn’t work then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Is Heating Up

Problem: Hi, I’ve got an issue with my Galaxy S7 Edge. I was reading your issue fix with over heating. My phone is currently on safe mode and isn’t heating up and I read that if it’s in safe mode and not heating up that it would be some pre installed app, now I don’t know what apps it is that I have to uninstall. Could you help me with that?

Solution: You will have to perform a trial and error method to find out what app is causing the problem. Uninstall one app then check if the issue occurs. If it still does then uninstall another app. Repeat this process until you get to a point where the issue does not occur anymore when you uninstall an app. That app is causing the problem.
