S7 Edge Replacement Screen Not Working

Problem: Hi I am wondering if you can give me some advice. I just installed a new screen to my samsung S7 Edge. The screen lights up but there is nothing displaying on the screen. after a few seconds the phone starts to beep lights up and again and keeps doing this process. So the phone never boots up with the new screen only the old one. I have put the broken screen back on the the phone turns on and I hear msgs coming through. I can not see anything on the old screen because it is totally broken.

Solution: Assuming that the replacement display you are using right now is not defective then the problem could be caused by an internal component that is failing to work properly. There’s also the possibility that the ribbon wire connecting the display to the board has some cut in it. The best way to proceed in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked so that the exact cause of the problem can be pinpointed.

S7 Edge Screen Does Not Light Up After Getting Wet

Problem: So my phones has recently stopped working, well the screen at least. It was working fine this morning and it got a little wet from the rain so I wiped off and put in down. Five minutes later, my phone screen refuses to light up and would quickly flash a  bright green with blue dots in the corner of the screen and its has been spreading to the whole screen throughout the rest of the day. I just wanted to know it is could be water damage or just remaining water left in it. Right now ,I have the phone in a cup of rice. The touch light up buttons are working fine, they light when the home button is pressed and that’s about it.

Related Problem: Good Afternoon. during a wind surfing trip with my S7 Edge i dropped it in the ocean. the salt caused my screen to develop these purple lines. the device worked fine then i factory reset my phone in order to try to fix the screen, now my screen is black, but the phone is responsive. the display will appear briefly for about 2 second. please any help at all, ii refuse to believe my LCD went out.

Solution: It’s very likely that water has entered the device. This usually happens if the rubber seal of the phone which prevents water from entering has been compromised. What you should do right now is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture present inside the phone. Once this is done check if the issue still occurs. If it does then the phone has most likely suffered from water damage. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Edge Screen Has A Different Color

Problem: Greetings, thank you for taking the time to read my email.  For nearly two years i have been a proud owner of the S7 Edge  without any issues of any kind…recently (yesterday)… 1) After using my androids flashlight. I noticed that the contrast on my phone display was oddly different than before. A little too bright and “misty”?…if i swiped down to see my settings, what was once a black background is now more of a brown/grayish colour? The same thing happened when opening spotify. 2) The LED light is not flashing anymore and remains off until i put my phone on charge? 3) the issue only seems to momentarily resolve itself when i access the settings page itself or when i rotate my phone to fullscreen the page when using the likes of youtube…viewing a web page exc… I have read online and viewed the odd how-to’s hear and there yet nothing seems to be of working. I hope you may have the answer?

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular problem is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this you have to start the phone in Safe Mode since in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset you still experience the same problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
