S7 Edge Keeps Overheating

Problem: MY samsung galaxy S7 edge keeps overheating…it gets so hot i can barely touch it and then I have to shut it off...The battery also is drained immediately…..and the battery also starts draining the minute I turn it on…I don’t even use it and it goes down to 75 percent…this phone is brand new since 2017…my phone before it did the same thing….what’s the story here…is it junk

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed. Once this is done proceed with checking if an app you installed in the phone is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded in which case you will need to find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the phone still overheats. If it does then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component, possibly a short circuit that in the battery. I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Keeps On Restarting

Problem: Hi, i am having issue with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge,my phone keeps restarting on its own 2 to 3 times in every 10 minutes, i cleared all the catch data and also reset, but i am unable to get any solution, and my phone came from Saudi Arabia ,please suggest me what to do.I am worried about it.Thanks

Solution: Do you have a microSD card installed in your phone? If you do have one then I suggest that you remove this as this might be causing the problem.

You should also check if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the phone does not restart in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

One last troubleshooting step to consider if the above steps fails to fix the problem is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the issue still persist then this is most likely caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Screen Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: So me and my friend were skateboarding, and we went down a hill. He dropped my phone on the road, however the skateboard did not go over it, the screen hasn’t cracked, and the phone actually landed on It’s back. I helped him up and grabbed our stuff, but the screen looked like It was split in half for a quick second. I turned the screen off and went inside, to find out that the screen won’t turn on. The sound works, It vibrates when needed. I looked up answers on youtube and google, I took out the battery, I tried holding the Home / Power Button / and Volume button at the same time, but it didn’t work. So is it possible if you can help me out or will my parents have to buy me a new one?

Solution: It looks like the display might have been damaged by the drop. You can try starting the phone in recovery mode and if you the display works in this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the display does not work in recovery mode then you should consider having the display assembly replaced at a service center.

S7 Edge Keeps Freezing

Problem: My galaxy S7 Edge keeps freezing on a lag for about 10 seconds. Then works ok again for about 2 mins then does the same thing.. sometimes happening more often than 2 mins. I’ve removed my sd card, cleared non essential apps, freed up my internal disc space, cleared cache, done soft reboot and run malware and anti virus scanners but to no avail. Please help.

Solution: Since you have already performed most if the initial troubleshooting steps for this particular problem which does not work then I recommend that you do  factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the problem still occurs after the reset then this is most likely a hardware related problem already in which case you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
