S7 Edge Not Working In Cold Weather

Problem: Hi, so my phone if in cold weather the screen struggles to display, it fuzzy for a second or simply won’t do anything. Once the phone get warmed up, either by close body heat or heat from say a car heater vent, it will come right on. However, after it comes on and then goes back into standby with screen display back off it will not turn back on unless the process of ‘warming’ is repeated. It is bizarre and completely confounding and frustrating. Please advise. It was bad for a time and then some update disallowed my ability to easily moderate my screens brightness and it worked like normal again. There has since been another change/update that brought back the problem, there is now this Peel remote that appears to have some automatic energy saving options that since I have seen it on my home screen I have been having problems. Could all be unrelated.

Solution: This problem is usually caused by a hardware component that isn’t working properly during low temperatures. In some cases it is caused by a faulty battery while in others an internal component is involved. What you can do right now is to verify if the issue is caused by a software glitch by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. If after the reset the issue still occurs then you will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Not Completely Charging

Problem: Okay so I have a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge and had it for approximately two years. My phone will refuse to charge over 42%, despite the amount of time and chargers I use. In addition, my phone drains extremely quick. One percent will drain within 3 minutes. I’ve changed the battery and had a factory reset but the probably still consists. I don’t know what to do anymore so please help. Thank you for your time

Solution: For this particular problem you should try cleaning the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once the port is clean try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone.

If the issue persists and since you have already replaced the battery and performed a factory reset then this is most likely caused by a faulty internal component, possibly the power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Overheats Stuck On Startup Screen

Problem: Hi i would like to ask i have a Samsung S7 Edge my phone is always hot after i use for 20 min or so. So i google how to solve it and it say i need to rebooted my phone but once i did it its stuck on the startup screen and couldn’t go to the main screen i when to the phone repair shop and the shopkeeper told me is motherboard spoil so is there any method i can do to start my phone again? As i still don’t have money to replace my motherboard and i need a phone.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If this does not work then chances are this is already a hardware related problem in which case it can only be repaired at a service center.

S7 Edge Fingerprint Scanner Not Working

Problem: I had a software update 3 days ago and everything was just fine until today. As a matter of fact, my phone was working just fine throughout the day but when I picked it up about an hour ago I noticed that the fingerprint scanner wasn’t working and upon noticing this, I also noticed that the power button as a whole was not working. I went to the settings to see if I could try to reset my fingerprint, but there was no setting relating to fingerprints in the lock screen section. Because of this I can’t take screenshots and I can’t turn off my phone

Solution: It’s very likely that the phone has frozen. The best way to fix this is to press and hold both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
