S7 Half Of Screen Is White

Problem: I have a Galaxy s7 and it was dead once I had woken up. I plugged it into the wall charger that comes with the phone. After it was all charged half of the screen went white down the middle to the right side. The left side still works and does everything it was made to do, but the right side is just white and doesn’t complete the picture. I had held the power button and volume down button to reset it but it didn’t work. what should I do next?

Solution: You should try to check if an app you installed in the phone is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you will need to proceed with a factory reset. If you are able to backup your phone data ( using Smart Switch is highly recommended) then I suggest that you do it before doing the reset. It’s also best to do the reset in recovery mode.

If the screen is still white at this point then it’s very likely caused by a faulty display assembly. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Screen Is Black

Problem: My galaxy s7 screen is just black but when I power it on you can see the buttons are responsive when I touch them and the LED is responsive as well. I tried rebooting but screen stays black. I need help please and fast.

Related Problem: So, to begin thanks for your help!  Last year water entered in my phone and i managed to take it out with the help of silica gel! The water was absorbed and there was no trace of it however, there was some horizontal and vertical lines (more vertical lines than horizontal lines ) on my screen but i was still able to use my phone. So on the 26 of jan! I was using my phone as usual. I switch the screen off the normal one with the use of the power and when i switched it on again to check my messages , the screen was completely black! I Switch it off completely and switch it on nada the screen remain black but it was working i am still receiving my messages and all. I tried various videos where they told me to press simultaneously the power button and the volume up or down! Still no result my screen is still black but it swtiches on normally. Can you help me please

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode and if the screen works in this mode you need to do a factory reset since the problem could be caused by a software glitch. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above step does not work then it’s very likely that your phone has a damaged display. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Screen Is Flickering With Some Discoloration

Problem: My phone has been flickering a little bit. Also there is a small discoloration toward the top of my screen. I was told that is a lad issue. Should I worry? What do you think is wrong with my phone?

Solution: Try checking if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the issue occurs in Safe Mode then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then the display might be faulty already. If this doesn’t affect the way you use the phone then you can just ignore it for now as you will spend some money if you will have the display replaced.

S7 Screen Is Flickering And Overheating

Problem: the issue is screen flickering badly, i can’t use this phone even for 5 min also, when screen flickering it was heating heavily. Plz anyone tell me solution for this.

Solution: If a factory reset does not fix the problem ( make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset) then you will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked as this is most likely a hardware related problem already.
