S7 Moisture Present In Camera

Problem: Hi, i recently used my phone in the swimming pool. We took underwater pictures for about 15 mins. So the phone gets soaking everytime we put it under to take the photo. It’s also running low on battery 9%. Then it turned off by itself.. I tried to turn it on again to take 1 last underwater photo. It went on but the touch screen pretty much doesn’t work. So i let it dry. Later i tried to charge it and it did. The charging screen went on and i saw it charge til 3% then i fell asleep. In the morning i tried turning it on and it still wont. I found there is moist in the front cam. What do i do?

Solution: It looks like water has entered the phone and is causing this problem. What you will need to do right now is to place the phone in a bag of rice and leave it for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done charge the phone first for at least 20 minutes then try turning it on. In case the problem still persists then there’s a possibility that the phone has been water damaged. The best thing that you need to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Erasing Data From Phone With Black Screen

Problem: I recently damaged my phone by accidentally dropping it in the pool with a cracked screen. I immediately turned it off and left it in rice for a couple of hours. At first it was fine then it started flickering until overnight, the screen went completely black. I filed a claim damage through my carrier and they sent me a replacement phone. I now have to mail and return the damaged phone to make sure I don’t get charged for it. The only problem is I can’t wipe out any of my data or turn off any alarms pending. I don’t want to send it in the mail with notifications going off (alarm in the AM). How do I at least shut the phone off? Is it possible to do this with just the power/volume/ keys? Please help!

Solution: If the notifications of the phone are still working and it is still connected to the Internet then you can try wiping the data of the phone using the Find  My Device feature of Google. Some of the requirements that your phone must meet in order to use this are as follows.

  • Be turned on
  • Be signed in to a Google Account
  • Be connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi
  • Be visible on Google Play
  • Have Location turned on
  • Have Find My Device turned on

To erase your phone data

  • Go to https://android.com/find then sign in to your Google account.
  • The lost device gets a notification.
  • Choose the device then tap on Erase. This will permanently delete all data on your device (but might not delete SD cards). After you erase, Find My Device won’t work on the device.

Turn off the phone using the power button.

S7 Not Turning On Not Charging

Problem: My problem started with the speaker, when. I would get a call I could not hear anyone unless it was in speakerphone . I had the service center replace both speakers, ear and loud speaker, but it still didn’t work. Then it started randomly turning off after I was using it and the only way to get it to start was to put it on the charger. I uninstalled a bunch of apps, that didn’t help. I researched a little further and decided just to dump everything and do a factory reset and wipe everything. So turned off the phone so I tried to restart in safe mode and now it won’t turn on at all and it will not charge. This thing hates me. It just seemed to get progressively worse. Now what can I do? It seems like it is software. It’s just strange how it was turning on fine until I tried to put it in safe mode and it won’t charge or restart. HELP!!! What can I do now? I want to throw it out the window as I’m driving at this point. My husband I got our phones at the same time and his is working fine.

Solution: Before you can do any troubleshooting on the phone you will need to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge to turn on the device. Follow the steps listed below to charge the phone.

Once the phone has charged try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to work then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
