S7 Overheating Error Even If Phone Is Not Hot

Problem: Am getting overheating error message on my Samsung J7 even the temperature of my phone is not hot. I have done all the possible troubleshooting steps but still am getting the same error message. Done resetting to factory reset still the same, I can not set up my phone anymore, Am stock up. Appreciate your immediate feedback.

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it then check if the issue still occurs. If the issue still persists and since you have already performed a factory reset then it’s very likely that this is a hardware related problem already possibly caused by a faulty sensor in which case you will need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Black Screen With Blue LED

Problem: I have a galaxy s7 active, it has had problems since I purchased it, it started out a scrambled screen like a bunch of lines running across and so I tried the soft reboot (power button and volume down) sometimes it would take 7-8 times before working again.  I have had to re boot this at least once a week for the last few months, now it wont even do that, it is just a black screen with a blue indicator light showing.  I am trying all the troubleshoots on your list with nothing working.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to perform a simulated battery pull which is done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If the issue still occurs after this then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • If your phone has a microSD card then remove it. Restart the phone.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone is started in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty internal component.

S7 Can’t Login To Google Account After Factory Reset

Problem: Hi; I have a Samsung S7 decide that i did a Master reboot . I have done it before with other Samsung and everything went well. It’s a new phone. When I put the Google ID the error message appears saying “we are unable to log into your account. Try again in 24 hours because you just changed your password.” So. I waited. There Three days actually. Still the same thing happened the third day. Don’t know how to fix it

Solution: The best way to fix this problem is to reset your Google password using your computer. Once this is done wait for 24 hours then login your Google account on your phone. Make sure that the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network with a strong signal.

S7 Not Turning On After Dropping In Water

Problem: Dropped my Samsung S7 in water (toilet), left drying in warm airing cupboard for 6 days. It will now charge as red charging light comes on when I plug it in but won’t turn on.

Solution: Although this model is waterproof there are still instances when water can enter the device especially if the water seals are broken. The best thing that you can do in this case is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done make sure that the charging port is free from any dirt then charge your phone for at least 20 minutes then try turning it on. In case the issue persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked,

S7 Not Turning On

Problem: My phone just shut off and won’t turn back on. I tried putting it into every mode under the sun based off your faq but the most that ever happens is a black screen with a battery and lightning symbol when you plug it in. Or it will turn on and say “Samsung S7”  but then turn off again. Please help

Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone first making sure that it is free from any dirt or debris. You can use a can of compressed air to clean the port.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
  • In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
  • If your phone has a microSD card installed then remove it first. Turn on the phone by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the issue persists then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Unable To Download Update

Problem: i’m trying to do software update on my samsung s7 and i get the following error; Unable to Download The server has reached its daily download limit.Try again later or go to Smart Switch on your PC to update your device i’ve tried for a week on my phone and i don’t have a computer to connect my phone to

Solution: This appears to be an issue with the download server. Try downloading the update again with your phone connected to a different Wi-Fi network, In case the issue persists then you will have to use Smart Switch to update your phone.

S7 Not Receiving Text Messages

Problem: I have an Galaxy S7. I work in an area where there is no cell service. However I am attached to my employers WiFi. I can send text messages but I cannot receive them. I previously had an iPhone and this was not a problem. The text messages I receive during the day do not come through until I leave work and get cell service again. I have tried resetting it to no avail.

Solution: The text messages that you are not receiving while there is no cell service are regular SMS which are sent and received using the mobile network.

The iPhone is a different environment as you will be able to send iMessages even on a Wi-Fi network.

If you need to receive important messages while the phone does not have any cellular service then you can inform your friends to send you a message using third party messaging apps that can use a Wi-Fi connection.

S7 Text Messages Received Are Broken Into Two Messages

Problem: I am having a problem with my samsung galaxy s7, every time I receive a text, it breaks it up into two separate text. I have tried mostly everything I know of to do. I am using the regular texting app.

Solution: To make sure that long text messages are not broken down into separate messages then try to check the settings of the phone and make sure that it auto combines long text messages. Settings > Applications > Messages > More settings > Text messages. From here you will find the Auto combination option that allows you to group parts of long text messages into one.

In case the issue persists then try doing a factory reset, Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
