S7 Edge Warning Camera Failed Error

Problem: Hi, I have a problem with my cellphone. I cannot open my front camera (it usually says “warning: camera failed”), but only for my front camera. I tried wiping cache many times, wiping cache of my camera app and resetting it, using it on safe mode, reboot my cell phone, Smart Stay is also disabled… I don’t what to do, I tried everything except resetting my phone. Sometimes, I try cleaning the top of my cell phone with my shirt and the camera starts working again. It’s really weird, and my camera doesn’t work on Snapchat or Instagram in these moments. It happens frequently and I can’t predict when it will stop/start working again. Usually, when I don’t use my cellphone for 20 minutes +, I will open my phone and the front camera won’t work. Other times, I’m on Snapchat, I quit the app, go back 10 seconds after and the camera is not working anymore. Do you think the camera sensors might be damaged? If so, how can I know? I tried tapping *#0*#, but sometimes the front camera doesn’t work. I don’t really know what to do… thank you!

Solution: The best thing to do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this you will have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. You should first check if the front camera error issue disappears. If it doesn’t then this is most likely caused by a faulty camera module assembly. If this is the case then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Camera Error After Nougat Update

Problem: So I very recently updated my galaxy s7 Edge to nougat 7.0 to get rid of the incessant notifications. In doing so, I’m assuming it caused some system relating to my camera to malfunction because I receive the dreaded “warning” pop up any time I try to open my camera. I have tried hard resetting my phone,  cleared the cache, etc- all the basic “easy” fixes to no avail. Today I noticed two things that may possibly give a qualified techie a hint at what is failing and how I could fix it. 1. My flashlight will not come on because it says my camera is using the light. 2. My front camera will work when opened through other apps such as Snapchat, but when switched to my back camera the screen comes in sideways. I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions or help you may have.

Related Problem: Hello, I have a current problem with my front facing camera on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It does not work at all with any app and the phone is updated to its latest upgrade. I have tried several times with restarting the camera, as the phone tells me too, but I have yet to receive any luck. The camera states, “warning server error occurred, restart camera.” I have done every so far except for factory resetting the phone, which I do not voluntarily want to go that route because I do not want to lose any information or back up my information to any service. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my email and I am looking forward to a response.
Solution: To fix this problem you will need to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. This will allow you to check if the problem is caused by some form of old software data that has not been completely removed during the software update. In case the issue still occurs after the reset then this is most likely a hardware related problem most likely caused by a faulty camera assembly. You will need to have this checked at a service center if this is the case.

S7 Edge Rear Camera Takes Blurry Pictures

Problem: I broke the rear camera glass and all pictures after that it was blurry.thinking it was the glass I found a replacement online.got it then replaced it . it’s still blurry.I swear it was working right for a few days .but now I’m not sure .I do know that very up close it is clear distance is blurry.I’m not sure if it was like that with the broken glass.soo the real question is whatever punctured the glass did it just damage the camera and should I just replace it?

Solution: It’s likely that some particles from the camera lens has damaged the camera sensor. To check if this is the case you need to perform the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Make sure that the camera lens is clear and free from any dust or dirt. If necessary, clean the lens with a microfiber cloth.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Do not install any apps in your phone once the reset is complete.

Once you have performed the above steps try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is already a hardware related problem in which case you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
