S7 Edge No Mobile Data

Problem: basically the same old s7 edge no mobile data problem i’ve looked at apn list it seems in order but not sure if i was looking at the best one my service is at&t i’ve performed network reset soft reset fiddled with settings and options i’m hoping i won’t have to factory reset maybe u can help wifi is only way i can get online

Solution: The first thing that you would want to do in this case is to confirm with your carrier first if you have an active mobile data subscription. Once this is confirmed it’s time to check some phone settings.

Make sure that the mobile data switch of the phone is on and that you are getting an LTE signal. You can check the network mode of the phone and make sure that it is set for the LTE network.

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Mobile Networks
  • Tap Network Mode
  • Make sure that 4G/3G/2G (auto connect) is selected

You should also make sure that your phone is using the correct APN settings.

  • Name: ATT HSPA+
  • APN: phone
  • Proxy: <Leave in Blank>
  • Port: <Leave in Blank>
  • Username:  <Leave in Blank>
  • Password:  <Leave in Blank>
  • Server: <Leave in Blank>
  • MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
  • MMS proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
  • MMS port: 80
  • MCC: 310
  • MNC: 410
  • Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
  • APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
  • APN Protocol: Leave it to the Default one
  • Bearer: leave it to the Default one

In case the issue persists then you should consider performing a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

S7 Edge microSD Card Is Unsupported

Problem: my samsung card that came with my mobile a year ago is now saying it is unsupported.  I try to format but it goes to 20% no further.  have re booted done the soft reset using the method shown on this site, clearing ….cache….. taken the card out not marks etc. any ideas? thanks

Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to remove the microSD card from the phone then let your computer read it. You will need a card reader to do this. If the card can’t be read by your computer then it is most likely corrupted already in which case you will need to replace it with a new one. If however the card can be read then I suggest that you make a backup copy of its contents then format the card using in your computer. Use the FAT32 file system when doing the format. As soon as the format is done replace the microSD card back to your phone and check if it now works.

S7 Edge Can’t Change Sound Notification

Problem: I am trying to change my sound notification for messages and or ringtone but it will not give the normal sounds such as ding don’t, jazz, pop, etc your original Samsung sounds to select. It takes me to a folder with many many folders listed and the date of them lists December 29th 1969. It is annoying that i can’t select a sound and it just vibrates when a message comes through or someone is calling me. Please help I have screenshots of what the folders look like when I select sounds notification sound!

Solution: To properly set the ringtone or sound notification of your phone follow the steps listed below.

  • From home, tap Apps
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Sounds and notifications
  • Tap Ringtones and sounds
  • Tap on Ringtone to select a default ringtone.
  • Tap Default notification sound to choose a default sound for notifications.

If you can’t see the default notification sounds then what you should do is to first restart your phone then check for it again. In case the issue persists then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Edge Flashing Samsung Logo

Problem: My sister’s Samsung S7 edge started powering off and not turning back on. So I followed your websites instruction by doing a factory reset but when I rebooted it, it’s been flashing , Samsung, for 3 hours.

Solution: Does the phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then ty removing it as this could be causing the problem.

You should also simulate a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. The phone should restart after this.

In case the issue persists then you need to have this checked at a service center as this could already be a hardware related problem.

S7 Edge Keeps Shutting Down On Its Own

Problem: Hello, my phone keeps shutting down on its own. Furthermore, the keyboard does not show when I want to type any message or anything in notes. It is also getting hot. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Solution: To fix this problem you should follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Try starting the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
