How To Hide Photos On Galaxy S7

While you can just leave your photos in the phone Gallery since the device will most likely require your fingerprint to unlock sometimes your friends might borrow your phone and they might access your photos that you want to stay hidden. One way to hide photos on the Galaxy S7 is to use the Secure Folder feature of the phone.

The first thing that you will need to do to use this feature is to set it up properly.

  • Tap on Apps
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap on Lock screen and security
  • Tap Secure Folder
  • You will  need to sign into your Samsung account. Choose SIGN IN
  • Enter your Samsung Account details, then choose SIGN IN. If you don’t have a Samsung account then choose CREATE ACCOUNT. Just follow the steps to create an account)
  • Choose the lock method you wish to use for your Secure Folder
  • A shortcut to the Secure Folder will be added to your Home and Apps screen.

Once you have set it up it’s time to transfer your photos that you want to remain hidden to the folder. You can do this by opening the Secure Folder shortcut on the home screen then tap on add files. You can add photos, videos, and other data files to this folder.

For added security you can also make the Secure Folder icon stay hidden.

  • Tap Lock screen and security
  • Tap Secure Folder
  • Tap Hide Secure Folder
  • Tap OK to confirm

To unhide this icon so you can access your hidden apps.

  • Tap Apps
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Lock screen and security
  • Tap Secure Folder
  • Tap the Secure Folder icon at the bottom of the screen, then enter your unlock pattern, pin, or password
