S7 Edge Recent Apps Button Keeps Activating
Problem: My Galaxy S7 edge recent apps button keeps self activating..like I’m continuously tapping it when I’m actually not..and it then sometimes totally hangs(ie it totally doesn’t work even when I tap it)…the phone’s been working just fine and I’ve had it almost 2 years running now..no fall nothing..it just started a night ago from when I wrote this..i was using it to read..could it be a hardware problem because I’ve tried clearing all cached memory and manually cleaning all my apps and clearing all junk files…what could this be? or is it high time i changed phones thanks.
Solution: The best way to troubleshoot this problem is to first check if the issue is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this you have to start the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you will have to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by backing up your phone data then doing the following in recovery mode.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone.
- Perform a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Overheats
Problem: Hi , I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Since setting up the phone, i noticed it starts to overheat very fast to the point where you cannot touch it for too long. Initially i thought this was just the setup process as it had to install many updates to apps etc. Im reading quite a few people experience this problem and uninstalling KNOX has not really helped as some suggested it might. Im scheduled to return it, but if it’s something that can be fixed – id want to keep it to be honest. Any advice would be appreciated.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to remove the microSD card of the phone (if you have one installed). Once this is done backup your phone data then do a factory reset. As soon as the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component in which case you will need to have this checked at a service center.
S7 Edge Bluetooth Pairing With Car Is Broken After Software Update
Problem: I few weeks ago, I think right after a software update to my unlocked, non-phone company (though my service is from Verizon) Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone with Android 7.0, the phone support on the Bluetooth connection to my 2016 Subaru Forester went haywire. For several days, each time I’d start the car, it would look on the console as though a call were coming in and then hanging up right away. This happened several times in a row, every second or two, and then stopped. After a few days of this, this began happening constantly. If I have media audio playing, this constant bogus phone activity keeps it paused. I’ve rebooted the phone. I’ve deleted the Bluetooth pairing and recreated it. The only solution I’ve found so far is to remove phone audio from the configuration for this Bluetooth connection. What’s going on here? Is there a solution? Will Google or Samsung fix this?
Solution: Since you have already tried removing the Bluetooth connection then reconnected it again which does not fix the problem then this is most likely caused by old software data that has not been completely removed during the update process. The best thing you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
