A. Reporting a Subreddit on a computer

To report a subreddit on a computer, just follow these steps:

Navigate to the Reddit website on your browser and sign into your account.

If prompted with the “We’re sorry something wrong. How can we help” message, specify the reason why you’re reporting that particular subreddit content.
You will then be asked to provide more details or explanation. Just provide a clear and direct explanation of your report.
After that, click the Submit button.
The report will then be submitted to Reddit’s staff or mods.

Alternatively, you can report inappropriate subreddit by visiting the Content Policy page on Reddit. Once you’re on the Content Policy page, continue with these steps:

Click the Contacts Us link.
Select the option to Message the Admins.
On the succeeding menu, select Something else from the given options.
To continue, click Content breaks Reddit’s rules option.
On the next screen, select your reason and then choose Please send us a message in the first action.

By then you can start composing an email message containing your report about the subreddit that’s violating the rules. Be sure to include all relevant details and links to back your complaint.

B. Reporting a Subreddit on an Android device

To report inappropriate subreddit on an Android device, just follow these steps:

Open your browser app then go to Reddit’s website.
Find the Contact page and then click on the given link.
Select the option to Message the admins.
Then click Something else to proceed.
On the succeeding window, select Content breaks Reddit’s rules option.
A list of violations will then be displayed. Just select the corresponding violation.
If you’re a registered user, tap Please send us a message. Otherwise, tap the link to contact reddit.
Specify the subject of your message then type your report in the Message field.
Be sure to provide the offending subreddit’s name and the corresponding link.

Once you’ve completed all the necessary details, tap Send to submit your report.

C. Reporting a Subreddit on an iOS device

To report a subreddit on an iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:

Open the Reddit app.
Navigate to the subreddit that you’d like to report.
Tap on the triple-dot icon located next to the Subreddit’s name.
Wait for the next menu to open and then tap Report from the given options.
Select the reason why you file for a report then tap the button to Report to moderators.

Your report will then be sent to Reddit. Reported subreddits will be reviewed by Reddit moderators and admins. Once a subreddit post is banned, there is no way to get it unbanned on Reddit simply because there is no mechanism to get it unbanned. However, you can still try messaging the mods and politely apologize for making a mistake in posting something against the rules. Some mods might still be willing to give second chances, especially to those who committed honest mistakes.

Inappropriate Subreddits

Contents that are considered inappropriate are most likely to get banned if they clearly violate Reddit’s content policy. Among the prohibited Reddit/subreddit content are the following:

Threats, harassment and bullying
Spamming
Involuntary pornography
