One of the first things that a user needs to do when setting up a new Galaxy Note10+ is to insert and remove a SIM card. If you are new to Samsung Galaxy devices and you have no idea how about the proper way to disconnect or add a SIM card, this brief tutorial should help.

How to insert SIM card on Galaxy Note10+

You can insert up to two Nano SIM cards. If your SIM card is not the nano-size, visit your local carrier store and have it swapped for a nano SIM first.

Follow these steps to insert a SIM card:

  1. Turn off your Galaxy Note10+. This is important. Inserting a SIM while the device is on may result to corrupted data.
  2. With your phone’s screen facing you, remove the card tray. You can use the insertion/removal tool (or a paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot. This small hole should be visible on the top part of your device.
  3. Insert the SIM card into the tray (gold contacts facing down). The card should fit snugly in the slot. If the metallic contacts are visible to you, or if the card seems to move, you’re not doing it right. Ensure the card fits into place.
  4. Insert SIM card.
  5. Insert the card tray (gold contacts facing down).
  6. Press in on the tray to lock it into place.
  7. That’s it! Turn on your Note10+ and see if it now detects your SIM card.
