Your device may no longer support older version of microSD cards. For best results, we recommend that you use Samsung-made microSD cards or those with the following rating:

  • class 10
  • UHS class 1, 3 or newer

Keep in mind that not all SD cards are created equal. If you plan on using the SD card as your phone’s camera storage, get the best SD card there is. More affordable SD cards may be okay but their write/save speed may be slower, which in turn, can affect the performance of your S10’s camera.

Follow these steps to insert a SD card:

  1. Turn off your Galaxy S10. This is important. Inserting a SD while the device is on may result to corrupted data.
  2. With your phone’s screen facing you, remove the card tray. You can use the insertion/removal tool (or a paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot. This small hole should be visible on the top part of your device.
  3. Insert the SD card into the tray (gold contacts facing down). The card should fit snugly in the slot. If the metallic contacts are visible to you, or if the card seems to move, you’re not doing it right. Ensure the card fits into place.
