Steps on how to insert a microSD Card to a Galaxy S9:

Inserting an SD card to your Galaxy S9 is easy. Below are the 5 easy steps to do it. Be sure that you have a microSD card for this task. If your card is too big, try to use a microSD card instead.

  1. Prepare the ejector or ejection pin. This is the metal pin that comes with the phone when you first unboxed it. If you lost or misplaced it, you can use a paper clip instead.
  2. Using the ejection pin, carefully insert it into the hole on the SIM card or SD card tray.  This is located on top of the phone. Be sure not to pick the microphone hole which is also located on top.
  3. Once the SIM card or SD card tray pops out, gently pull it out.
  4. Place your microSD card to the SD card slot in the tray.
  5. Insert the SIM card or SD card tray into the phone.

Once you’ve added the microSD card properly, be sure to format it to minimize bugs from developing. This is important especially if the said card has been recycled or used in another phone.
