S6 Edge Stuck In Red Verizon Screen

Problem: Hello, I must have fallen asleep last night while watching Twitch.tv on my phone. When I woke up in the morning, my phone was off (presumably lost battery from falling asleep with the Twitch.tv app open). So I went to plug it into the charger. When I came back to the phone it had charged to about 50%. I decided to try to turn the phone on (while still plugged into the charger). The phone got stuck at the red Verizon screen with a flashing blue light. It stayed this way for over 10 minutes so I did the volume down + power button method to shut the phone off. This got the red Verizon screen off the screen, so the screen was now black, but the LED light was still flashing blue. I tried to turn the phone on again and it once again got stuck at the red verizon screen with the blue flashing light. I tried to boot the phone into safe mode without 3rd party applications, and also tried to simply restart the phone, but nothing worked. I also tried to do the volume up + volume down + power + home button method and it just brought me to the same verizon red screen. Right now, I have my phone plugged into the charger and the blue LED light is no longer blinking (the red light is on to indicate charging). I’m not sure what to do now. Please help!

Solution: What you should do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode and from here perform the two steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone.
  • Perform a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then it’s very likely that this is already a hardware related issue. The best thing that you can do right now in this particular case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Pauses Screen Goes Black When Playing Music

Problem: When i am listening to songs in my s6 edge, the phone randomly pauses and goes black. i tried pressing most buttons but it comes back on only after a few minutes

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to clear the cache and data of the music app that you are using from the application manager then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When your phone is operating in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S6 Edge Screen Flickers When Using The Camera

Problem: Hi I have an issue with my Galaxy S6 Edge phone.  When I use my camera, I get screen flickering.  I have not gotten this phone wet, but I did at one time crack the screen, which I got fixed.  I only run into this issue when I use the Camera function.  Also, if I close out of the camera and come back in, it fixes this.  Sometimes, I have to do this multiple times before it works.

Solution: What you will want to do first right now is to clear the cache and data of the camera app. This will allow you to check if a glitch in the app is causing the problem. In case the issue still persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then an app you downloaded could be causing the problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it  checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

S6 Edge Not Turning On After Overnight Charging

Problem: I put my phone to charge overnight, the next day it did not turn back on. I then took it to a repair man that said there’s a problem with the motherboard of the phone and the phone is dead until it gets fixed. However, I fail to understand how the motherboard could of gotten a fault from simply charging my phone?

Solution: You can try taking your phone to a different service center and have the phone checked. If it really is the motherboard that is damaged then you will need to have this replaced. The phone usually gets damaged when left charging if a power surge occurs. The surge in electricity will usually damaged the components inside the phone which in this case is the motherboard.

S6 Edge Screen Is Flashing White

Problem: when i try turning on my s6 edge it keeps flashing a white light on the screen . I tried all the methods on turning it on but nothing is happening but it is turning on because I pressed the power button and after a few moments a small blue light lit up but the screen was blank and even when it’s still on the screen is black

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to press and hold the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
  • If the phone does not charge then try charging it from a computer USB port.
  • Turn on the phone by pressing the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the above steps don’t work then one last troubleshooting step that you can do is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the issue persists then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Will Not Charge

Problem: My Samsung galaxy s6 edge has a problem while charging. The screen goes black and then on the bottom corner of the screen it has a white x. Then it makes a beeping noise and not charge. I am getting tired of constantly turning the phone on and off until it decides it wants to charge. Samsung will not help me with this issue.

Related Problem: When i charge my samsung galaxy s6 edge, it suddenly turn off. I can’t charge it anymore and it wont turn on. I already tried to press the volume down and the power button but nothing change.

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once this is done try charging the phone using its wall charger. If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. Turn on the phone by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
