Solved Samsung Galaxy S8 Freezes When Connected To Wi-Fi Network

The #Samsung #Galaxy #S8 is last year’s flagship phone that introduced several key changes in the premium smartphone line of the South Korean company. The most noticeable design change is the absence of a physical home button. The front part of the phone is now occupied mostly by its 5.8 inch Super AMOLED display. The fingerprint sensor has now been moved at the back of the phone just beside the rear camera. Although this is a solid performing phone there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy S8 freezes when connected to Wi-Fi network and other related problems.

S8 Freezes When Connected To Wi-Fi Network

Problem: Hi. I have problem with my phone. Currently am using samsung s8. I have updated new software . The problem is when I try to connect phone with wifi, my phone become hang and not function well. Screen become black and phone freeze. It not seem has any problem if I turn on my mobile data. That’s all thank you sir

Solution: Try checking if this problem occurs when you try to connect the phone to a different Wi-Fi network. In case it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by your Wi-Fi network. In case the issue still occurs even when the phone connects to a different wi-Fi network then the best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S8 No Internet Connection When Using LTE Network

Problem: My LTE does not load anything. I’m using an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 on Straight Talk. When connected to 4g hspa only, data will load, however when the phone shows its connected to LTE, nothing loads. I’ve tried resetting network settings, resetting all settings, re-entering the the APN settings and clearing the system’s cache partition, and nothing has got the LTE to load any data. I would appreciate any advice you can give me on this. Thanks!

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to contact Straight Talk and inquire if there is any LTE related problem in your area. You should also confirm with them the correct APN setting that your phone should be using.

In case there is no LTE problem in your area and the APN setting of your phone is correct then you will need to consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to try getting a new SIM card as the problem could be caused by your current SIM.

S8 Wi-Fi Range Is Short

Problem: i have purchased a used samsung galaxy S8 and i have noticed that the wifi range of my phone is lesser than the other smartphones i have i have compare many smartphones with  this phone ,which include sony xperia ZR , samsung galaxy S5 and others but my phone wifi not showing the far device but others show and also connect my s8 only connect with nearby my own network. Is this is software issue or hardware please let me know. thank you for providing this platform.

Related Problem: Hi.  I have just taken over my partners S8 and it’s driving me mad with poor wifi signal especially in my house where my S9 was fabulous – this S8 is a disaster.  It doesn’t connect to wifi fast and then if I walk to the bedroom it disconnects from wifi with no signal. S8 Not Connecting To Wi-Fi

Problem: Today my phone  was perfectly fine, but then all of a sudden it stopped working on Wi-Fi at my house. I left to school and it connects to the Wi-Fi there and at my sister’s house. But, as soon as I get home, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. When I try and connect it, the Wi-Fi switch goes to On but doesn’t turn green and when I press the back button it connects and then shows that it’s not connect.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do right now is to forget the home Wi-Fi connection from your phone then restart the device. Try connecting to the Wi-Fi network once the phone has started. You should also check if other devices can connect to your home Wi-Fi network. In case the issue persists then backup your phone data then do a factory reset. As soon as the reset is complete the issue should be gone.
