Note 8 Lag In Recording Video

Problem: Samsung Note 8, I noticed when taking video of a sports game that there was lag time in what I was capturing to what was actually happening. Later when I imported the video to Adobe Premiere I could see video/ audio lag time. I tried to re-align soundtrack with video and got decent results. Next I took video of another sport game 60 minutes. Again Olivetti n into Premier and seeing video/audio lag time. I tried to align sound track but it was too difficult. It seems the on her the segment the bigger the gap in lag time. I played the video on Windows 10 media player and shocking no lag time was noticed. It played great. Question 1 why did I noticed lag time while making first video and see lag time in Premier but not in Media player. 2 Is this a Samsung issue or how it’s being configured during import. I’ve used Samsung phones for many years and loved quality for capturing video and editing in Adobe products. I’ve read previous post on related issues and will try them. Since this is a new phone I’ll do factory reset and limit what apps I install.

Solution: With the powerful processor that the phone is using and its 6GB of RAM, recording videos should be a smooth process. You could try doing a factory reset on the phone to check if the issue is caused by a software glitch. Another factor to look into is if the video you are recording is being saved to the microSD card. If it is then try changing this setting and make sure that the video is saved directly to the internal storage of the phone. If the problem does not occur when you do this the your should try getting a microSD card with a faster speed.

Note 8 Turns On Randomly

Problem: My galaxy keeps on switching on by itself! . Sometimes i find it on and hot in my bag and a full screen android logo displays saying don’t turn your device off… I did run many anti virus and also malwarebytes scans but no problems came up. And up till a week or two ago i kept getting this pop up message as i was using the device. (Can i send you the screenshot of this popup? How do i do that, please? The popup says approx “POWER SHARING. You must download the app in order to control the amount of power shared. If you connect your device to another device with the samsung power sharing cable  then all the power in your battery will be transferred to the other device. You must download the app from samsung apps.” Weird, cos i have no such cable. Never used it… Seems like some virus or something has taken control of my device and just keeps switching it on all the time. Still happens almost daily! Help!!!!

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 8 Not Automatically switching Between Data And Wi-Fi

Problem: Just got the Note 8, noticed right away that the phone doesn’t automatically choose Data vs Wi-Fi is I happen to already “know” a Wi-Fi network and the internet on the Wi-Fi is down. This is pretty odd since every cheap phone i’ve had till now does this with no problem. Is it a setting?

Solution: If the Wi-Fi network is still on but it does not have an Internet connection then you phone will still stay connected to the Wi-Fi network and not connect to your mobile data network. Your phone will automatically connect to the mobile data network once it is out of range of the Wi-Fi network or if the Wi-Fi network is switched off.

Note 8 Calls Can’t Be Heard

Problem: My husband and I both have the new Samsung note 8 and both of us are having issues with we make a call the other person cannot hear us and we can’t hear the other person, But if we hang up and call back the call goes thru currently

Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to check if the problem is caused by some software glitch by performing the steps listed below.

  • Restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then try to contact your carrier as this issue might be caused by some network activity.

Note 8 Recovering Deleted WhatsApp Messages

Problem: I know this was a total blonde moment but I accidentally deleted whatsapp messages and photos which had sentimental meaning. I tried Dr done days recovering but it says my phone is not supported do you have any suggestion. I did not back up my phone precious to this.

Solution: Once you have deleted the messages and photos from WhatsApp you won’t be able to recover them unless a backup has been created. To recover the missing messages follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Uninstall the WhatsApp on your device.
  • Reinstall it and sign in your account.
  • There would be prompted with a message to restore your backup after you open the reinstalled WhatsApp. Please tap “Restore”.
