Note 5 Fuzzy Screen After Phone Dropped
Problem: I dropped my phone but the screen didn’t crack and maybe it was my case but my screen went black but you could hear my text come in and the buttons would light up. After a week of it just sitting there because I couldn’t shut it off or anything it just turned on and started working with a case not on after using it for a few hours and putting the case on it had a grey fuzzy screen like on TV when there’s no Channel. It’s a Galaxy Note 5 and I love this phone and don’t have money to get another one please help (note quite sure of the version)
Solution: The best thing that you can do in this case is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then you will need to perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. In case the issue persists or if the screen is fuzzy even if the phone is started in recovery mode then there’s a possibility that this is already a hardware related problem possibly caused by a faulty display assembly. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Battery Does Not Last Long
Problem: Hi there, I have Samsung galaxy note 5 since 2015, but lately the battery doesn’t last at all. The phone shuts down at 70% then after I reboot it is on 35 45%, sometimes it’s on 0% directly. I use the phone quite a lot and I wanted to know if I need to buy a new battery as I think that this seems to be the problem. I will be really happy if you advise me on to that issue.
Solution: Before replacing the battery you should first check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue occurs. If it doesn’t then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the issue still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you will most likely need to have the battery replaced.
Note 5 Not Turning On Unless Plugged To Charger
Problem: I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and for like a week now my phone won’t come up unless it’s plugged in. Once I remove it from charging, it goes off again. This happens in safe mode as well and have even done factory reset but still the same problem.
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then this is most likely caused by a faulty battery or power IC. Since the battery is not user replaceable then the best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Stopped Charging
Problem: It stopped charging and now it is %0 battery. I forced started it and it worked. Yet, it turned off again as it has no battery. It won’t charge not with USB cable nor through wireless charging. It also cannot be recognized on PC when connected
Solution: What you should do right now is to clean the charging port of the phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in the port as this can cause charging issue. Once this is done proceed with charging the phone for at least 20 minutes. If the phone does not charge then try the following.
- Use a different charging cord and wall charger.
- Try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
- Try using a wireless charger.
If the issue persists then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this is most likely a hardware related problem already.
Note 5 Multitouch Not Working
Problem: hello. I am using a note 5 and am having an issue with the touch. its doesn’t give me issue with most games but with games like platformers or fps games where I need to touch two things at once it won’t work. I can only press one thing at a time so if i’m playing sonic 2 I have to run and jump in staggered succession so not at the same time basically. 2nd touch spot doesn’t register the touch at all so I can only do one action at a time so like. run then jump instead of simultaneously.
Solution: Does your phone have a screen protector installed? If it does then try removing it as it might be causing this problem. In case your your phone does not have a screen protector or if the issue still occurs even if the screen protector is removed then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset the problem persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a hardware issue.
Note 5 Not Turning On After Phone Dropped
Problem: hello, i have a galaxy note 5, fallen from only one meter high, screen had a blue line and went off, i called my phone and it rang, so i know it was working, i managed to connect my phone to side sync on my laptop, phone was working, i made a backup and set my alarm clock then pulled away usb cable, a blue led gone on and i did not know what happened because the screen was not working, put it to charger and slept, i was surprised in the morning that my alarm clock did not wake me up, so i went to my laptop and tried to connect via sidesync, i did not connect, laptop did not recognized the phone, i tried power with vol down to make a soft restart, it did not work and laptop still cannot recognize it, and i hear something moving when i shake the phone, is there any chance that i broke more than the screen ? how can my mobile continued to work if so ? i did not go to service till now, i’m planning to go but i need to know if they are going to change something that is not broken, i don’t want to pay more than what it deserves, thank you very much for your help
Solution: The first thing that needs to be replaced is the display which has suffered from physical damage. The issue of the phone not starting can usually be caused by a faulty battery or a disconnected battery. However, it could also be caused by an internal component that might have been damaged by the drop. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 No Signal In Closed Spaces
Problem: I have Samsung galaxy note 5. I cannot make / receive calls, messages when I am in closed space like inside my home. I also see not registered on network while trying to make a call. But it does work fine when I am outside in open space i.e. outside. Other phone works just fine in location where I have problem with this phone. So please tell me how could I fix the phone. Is it software related problem or hardware related. Thank you
Solution: If other phones have a signal in areas where your phone does not have a signal then this could be caused by a problem with the phone antenna. Try to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset the issue persists then your phone might have a problem with its antenna. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center,
