How To Fix Google Play Store Error Code 910 Issue

How To Fix Google Play Store Error Code 910 Issue

Before performing any of the recommended troubleshooting steps listed below it’s best to restart your phone first. This action refreshes the operating system and remove any corrupt temporary data that could be causing the problem. You should also make sure that it is running on the latest software update.

The error code 910 usually occurs when trying to download an app from the Google Play Store. This issue is usually caused by some form of corrupted data. Listed below are the troubleshooting steps that you need to do to fix this problem.

Clear the cache and data of the Google Play Store

The Google Play Store will usually store data to improve your user experience. This data however can sometimes get corrupted and cause this problem. To fix this you will have to clear the cache and data of the Google Play Store.

For Samsung devices

  • From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  • Tap Settings > Apps.
  • Tap the desired application in the default list.
  • To display preinstalled apps, tap Menu > Show system apps.
  • Tap Storage > CLEAR CACHE > CLEAR DATA > DELETE.

For Huawei devices

  • From the home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
  • Scroll to and tap Settings.
  • Scroll to and tap Manage apps.
  • Tap the All tab.
  • Scroll to and tap the Google Play Store application.
  • Tap Clear cache.
  • Tap Clear data

Check if the Google Play Store error code 910 issue still occurs.

Remove then add your Google account

There are times when a glitch in your account that is stored in the Google servers can cause this problem. To fix this you will need to refresh your account by removing it from your phone then adding it again.

  • Open your Settings app and access the Accounts menu.
  • From the User & accounts screen (Accounts), find your Google account and tap on it. 
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on Remove.
  • Return to the User & accounts screen (Accounts) screen, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on Add account.
  • From the Add an account window, tap on Google and follow the on-screen instructions to re-add your Google account.
  • Restart the phone.

Check if the Google Play Store error code 910 issue still occurs.

Move the app from SD card to the internal storage

If you are getting this error when trying to update an app that is installed in the SD card then I suggest moving this app to the internal storage of the phone.

  • Open your Settings menu and go to Apps & Notifications. Then, tap on Apps (Application List) to see all your installed applications.
  • From the list of installed applications, locate the app that is refusing to install and tap on it to expand its menu.
  • Tap on Storage, then tap on Change storage location and move the app to Internal Storage.
  • Once the app has been moved to internal storage, update the application again.

Check if the Google Play Store error code 910 issue still occurs.

Remove the SD card

Sometimes a corrupt SD card can cause this problem. To check if this is what’s causing the problem you should remove this card from your phone then check if the issue still occurs.

Wipe the cache partition of the phone

There are cases when the cached data stored in the dedicated partition of the phone can become corrupted. When this happens this will usually cause certain issues to occur on the phone. To eliminate the possibility that this is what’s causing the problem you will have to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

For Samsung devices

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
  • Press the Power key to select.
  • Press the Volume down key to highlight ‘yes’ and press the Power key to select.
  • When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.

For Huawei devices

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume UP button along with Power button on your  device simultaneously for a few seconds
  • The phone will enter the stock recovery mode
  • Use volume buttons to highlight ‘wipe cache partition’ and use power key to select it
  • Reboot the system once the process is completed

Check if the Google Play Store error code 910 issue still occurs.

Perform a factory reset

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then the best thing to do right now is to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

For Samsung devices

  • Turn off the phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  • Press the Volume down key several times key to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset.’
  • Press Power button to select.
  • Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted.
  • Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
  • When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  • Press the Power key to restart the device.
  • With no apps installed in the phone, try to check if the issue still occurs.

For Huawei devices

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume UP button along with Power button on your  device simultaneously for a few seconds
  • The phone will enter the stock recovery mode
  • Use volume buttons to highlight  select wipe cache/factory reset and use power key to select it
  • Reboot the system once the process is completed

Check if the Google Play Store error code 910 issue still occurs.
