It is almost inevitable that sometimes people will borrow your smartphone for some. Of course, you always have a prerogative not to lend your device. But what if it’s a close friend or a family member asking you to use your Galaxy S3 for a while?

When other people are using our device, there is no guarantee that your files or settings wouldn’t be messed up. Good thing Android supports setup of multiple profiles and email accounts. You can always create a profile only you can use and setup another for people who may possibly borrow your device. I will walk you through the setting up of multiple profiles and email addresses in your Samsung Galaxy S3.

Step 6: Now enter all your credentials and follow on-screen instructions.

You can follow the same set of instructions if you want to add another email account may it be Yahoo!, Gmail, Live, or corporate.

The following instructions are for adding a new Gmail account; it’s just an alternative way.

How To Add Second Gmail Account

Step 1: Launch Gmail app from the home screen.

Step 3: On the upper right corner of the screen you can see Add Account button, tap on that and you will be brought to Add a Google Account screen.

Step 4: Tap on Existing button if you already have a Gmail account. Otherwise, tap on New to create a new account.

Step 6: Check Google Services you want to sync with your account.

You can repeat the process to add more Gmail account to your Galaxy S3.

How To Setup Multiple Profiles

Creating multiple profiles in Samsung Galaxy S3 would involve using an application called SwitchMe. While there are many apps in the Play Store that function the same, this one comes highly recommended by experts because it is easy to use. Owners, however, are advised to root their devices prior to using this app because it requires root access.

Step 1: Purchase, download and install SwitchMe application from the Play Store. [LINK]

Step 2: Launch the app and click on “+” to add a new profile.

Step 3: Enter your desired password and a new profile is created.

Each profile can have different system settings and totally different set of apps and data. It comes very handy if someone is using your Galaxy S3 other than you. Perhaps, one of the downsides of using this is that you will run out of internal memory faster than when you’re using just a single profile. But it’s up to you to monitor the storage space in your device.
