  1. None of your suggestions work since I cant access any settings/menu because the screen dims to black. The first thing I did was turn off the tv and unplug it over night. Next morning, same thing, tv starts up fine then dims before going black screen. Despite what my manual says and illustrates, there is no rest button. Never could get the firmware or apps to update. Even after numerous emails asking for help from customer support I’ve never received a reply, with my last email being 3 months ago. Sadly my tv is 6 months shy of being 10 years old from the date of manufacture. If I were a suspicious person I’d say it was planned obsolescence. My next tv will not be a Hisense, its been nothing but trouble since I bought it and no one would honor the warranty. Guess I’ll be using my 16 year old plasma tv from my garage for now, heavy as heck but its still going strong.
