How to Add or Set up Google and Samsung accounts on your Galaxy A50

You need to add your Google account to be able to download applications on your new Samsung Galaxy A50 as well as use all Google services. The same goes for your Samsung account. As you know, there are features in your phone that you can only use when you’re logged in to your Samsung account.

In this post, I will walk you through in setting up both accounts on your new phone. Don’t worry, it’s pretty easy so won’t have a difficult time following every step.

How to Add Google Account on Galaxy A50

More often than not, you will be asked to setup your Google account during the first boot but you can actually skip it. You need a Google account set up on your device to be able to use it to its full potential and here’s how it’s done.

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Open Settings app.
  3. Tap Accounts and backup.
  4. Tap Accounts.
  5. Tap Add account.
  6. Tap Google. If you set up a screen lock option such as PIN, Password, or Pattern, you should enter it here when prompted.
  7. Enter the Gmail address then tap NEXT.
  8. Enter the password then tap NEXT.
  9. To continue, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap I AGREE. To review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tap the appropriate link and language then tap Close (at the bottom) when finished.
  10. If presented, tap the Back up to Google Drive switch to turn on, then tap Accept.

After doing this, you will be able to enjoy using all google services like Gmail, Drive, Chrome syncing, etc. Also, when the account is properly set up, the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) is automatically enabled. Anybody who doesn’t know your Google ID and password and was able to perform the master reset, won’t be able to use your phone.

How to Add Samsung account on your Galaxy A50

There are several Samsung services you can actually enjoy or find useful. One of them is Find My Mobile, which you can use to locate your device if misplaced or lost it. There’s also Bixby and all its other services. So, it’s really very useful to add it to your device and here’s how you do that:

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Open Settings app.
  3. Tap Accounts and backup.
  4. Tap Accounts.
  5. Tap Add account.
  6. Touch Samsung account.
  7. Now, enter your Samsung ID and password, and then tap Sign in.
  8. You need to accept Samsung’s terms and conditions, so select I Agree to all, and then tap Next.
  9. If you want, you can set up Samsung Pass, but you can actually do that one later in Settings. So, touch ‘Not now’ to proceed.

And that’s pretty much it! You now have successfully set up your Samsung account. You may now download wallpapers or anything that Samsung offers.
