S8 microSD Card Pictures Have Exclamation Mark

Problem: I have transferred my pictures onto a sd card. After I done this I went into my gallery and could No longer view my photos. The pictures are a grey background with a white circle with a exclamation mark on the middle.

Solution: It’s very likely that the photos have become corrupted. This usually occurs if the microSD card that you are using is faulty and has corrupt sectors. What you should do right now is to remove the microSD card from the phone then let your computer read the card. You will need a card reader to do this. If you are able to view the photos using your computer then I suggest that you copy the photos to a folder in your computer. Once this is done restart your phone then reinsert the microSD card back to your phone.

In case the photos can’t be viewed by your computer then they are most likely occurs already.  To prevent this from happening again I recommend that you get a new microSD card.

S8 Froze After Getting Wet

Problem: I was taking a shower and listening to music and my s8 stopped working I have a frozen screen but nothing is working the power button won’t work or the fingerprint scanner. Where I put it it was laying in water for maybe 2 minutes and I grabbed it with wet hands and moved it. Is it because the moisture is locked inside.

Solution: When your phone gets wet it will be difficult to use the touchscreen and sometimes the fingerprint scanner won’t work. What you will want to do in this case is to wipe the phone dry using a soft cloth. Once the phone is dry try to restart the phone. If it still freezes then I suggest that you place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb any moisture that might have entered the phone. Once this is done try checking if the issue gets fixed. If it doesn’t then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8 Text Message Disappears

Problem: I currently use a samsung s8 for t mobile. Every time i send a text message it acts like it sends then disappears and a new copy of my text appears and sends. I’m really concerned that a copy of my texts are going somewhere else as well as to the receiver. Ever have this problem or notice anything similar

Solution: This issue might just be caused by a glitch in the messaging app. Try clearing the cache and data of the messaging app then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then follow the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S8 Black Screen With Flashing Blue LED Light

Problem: Galaxy s8 has black screen with flashing blue light. unresponsive to pushing any combination of buttons you have listed to do. Does not recognize charging either

Solution: The best thing to do in this particular case is to first perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the phone does not respond then try charging if first for at least 20 minutes then start the phone in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8 Keeps Freezing

Problem: This is my third replacement device they have all froze up. Is there something that I’m doing wrong or something I can do to prevent this from happening?

Solution: Are you using a microSD card on this phone which you also used on the two previous devices? This might be causing the problem. Try removing the card then check if the phone still freezes.

It’s also a good idea to perform a factory reset on the phone. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

In case the phone still freezes then you will need to have this checked at a service center.
