Huawei P10 Not Detecting MicroSD Card

Problem: Hi, I have a problem with my micro SD card. My device is a P10. I bought him now as a new device and it all worked well. Then I loaded some songs to the card using my computer. I checked the files and heard music and it all worked well. After an hour, I got a message that there is a problem with the memory card. Since then I wasn’t able to use it, and it wasn’t detected by the device or my computer. I have tried to take it ou to restart the device to manufacturer statue but nothing helped. With or Without the card, the computer writes in gray in the storage section “put in micro sd card” and I can’t use it. Is there anything I could do? maybe a driver or something like that?

Solution: It’s very likely that the microSD card you are using right now is defective since it can’t be detected by your computer and even with by your phone after performing a factory reset. I recommend that you get a new microSD card which should fix this problem.

Huawei P10 SD Card Is Damaged Error Every Restart

Problem: Aloha.  I have a Huawei P10, running android 8.  Every time I shut the phone off or restart it, it tells me that the sd card is damaged and needs to be reformatted.  I do so, and it’s fine and will read and write until the next time I reset or turn the phone off and back on. Then it tells me the sd card is bad and needs reformatted again.  Can you please assist? Thank you, in advance for your time and consideration.

Solution: Try checking if the problem is caused by a faulty microSD card by placing a new microSD card in your phone then checking if the issue still occurs. If the problem still persists then there’s a possibility that this is caused by a software glitch. The best thing you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Huawei P10 Randomly Not Detecting microSD Card

Problem: I just read the solution about “Pictures and videos saved in the microsd card disappeared”. I have the same problem but not only with pictures and videos. I also have the problem with apps and music saved from Spotify. The microsd isn’t the problem because it works just fine on my friends phone and my pc can read it. But here is the tricky part.. My phone can sometimes see the microsd and sometimes not and that’s just random. And sometimes my pc says the microsd is broken but if I put it in my friends phone it just works fine. I don’t want to send my phone away for 3 weeks because the telecom company says so if they want to check it, so I was hoping if the solution you wrote has a possibility to work for me it would be great. What do you think?

Solution: Just like the issue which we have addressed above the first thing that you should do is to isolate the microSD card as this might be faulty. Try using a new microSD card on your phone. In case the issue still persists then the next step is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this perform the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem still occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone. Try checking first if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Huawei P10 Photos Stored In MicroSD Card Have Exclamation Mark

Problem: Hi there, I have a Huawei P10 and whenever I take a photo on the camera, when I go into gallery it turns into a grey background with an exclamation mark on it, and I’m not sure why. My images are automatically stored to a microSD card, I don’t know if that helps you any? Thanks

Solution: It’s very likely that the microSD card that you are using is corrupted. Try using a new microSD card on your phone as this will fix the problem.
