S6 Edge Keeps On Restarting

Problem: my phone is Samsung S6 edge plus SM-928G it keep on restarting again and again i don’t know why. i didn’t install any custom rom or firmware update just automatically. In its notification light it glows all the colours and just restarts. I did a factory data reset also somehow but still no effect. can you help?

Solution: One of the most common factors that can cause this problem is a software glitch which can usually be resolved by performing a factory reset. Since you already did the reset and the issue still persists then this is most likely a hardware related problem already possibly caused by an internal component that is failing to work properly ( this could be the battery or the power IC). The best thing that you can do in this particular case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Keeps On Overheating

Problem: My samsung galaxy s6 edge keeps on overheating and it drains the battery. i was on 60% and less than an hour it went to 1% and i didn’t use it. Also my phone slows down and it takes forever to do anything. Please help

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode. when the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Lightning Bolt Icon When Charging

Problem: Hello, My Galaxy S6 Edge suddenly went out after the ‘15% battery left’ warning. When I put it in the charger, a logo with the battery and a lightning bolt shows up – and nothing more. It doesn’t show how far the charging is in % or light up the small LED at the top. I can’t get the power back on by holding the power button, and it does not respond to holding the power button and volume down button down at the same time (Soft Reset) or holding the power, volume up and home button down (Hard Reset). I’m a bit lost here – what more can I do?

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris that might be stuck in this port. Once the port is clean try charging the phone again for at least 20 minutes. If the issue persists then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port. To turn on the phone you should press and hold the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Gets Hot When Charging Not Turning On

Problem: Not 100% which version of android it’s running, however – here’s the scenario.  I plugged into usb to charge, on samsung charger.  After a while – I checked phone – it was noticeably warmer than normal but had reached 100%.  I unplugged it.  At this time the phone was hot enough – to not hole in one spot for very long without moving it in the hand.  I was checking to see what apps were running, etc.  within just a couple minutes the battery life showed 50% … after about 5-10 minutes, the phone powered off, and has since not been able to turn on.  This morning, I brought it to work, to throw on my wireless charger to see if that made a difference – as it would be a different charge circuit – still not powering on, normal, power button plus volume down, or pwr vlm, and home button – nothing. At this stage – I’m kind of thinking IC chip fried?  or battery shorted.  either way, I think now the battery voltage is low enough that it wont charge.  and of course, wont turn on.  I’m wondering what a repair would cost if i sent it in.  I was able to contact samsung and they did provide me with a ticket number.  beyond that – i’m at a loss.  I would like the data recovered, but not sure I would keep the phone much after.

Solution: The first thing that needs to be checked in this case is the battery as it might already be faulty. If it is found out that the battery is defective then another thing to consider is why this battery got damaged. There might be another circuit involved that is causing the battery to fail which also needs to be checked as the problem might happen to the  replacement battery. You will need to contact the service center where the phone will be repaired to get an estimate as to how much it is going to cost.

S6 Edge Keeps On Rebooting

Problem: Hello, i have had a problem a few months ago where my S6 Edge kept rebooting randomly and i eventually had to factory reset to fix it , and just yesterday the same thing happened once again! It kept rebooting like mad and i just about managed to backup everything before so i decided for another factory reset, only this time my phone wont turn on after i’ve factory reset it. I try and turn it on but it just reboots then there’s a black screen with white LED and the only time it powers off is when the battery dies out. Can anyone please help me resolve this issue as i am desperate..

Solution: Try charging your phone for at least 20 minutes then with the phone still connected to its charger turn it on. If the phone turns on then the problem might just be caused by a drained battery. In case the phone does not turn on then this could already be caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Problem Connecting To Wi-Fi After Nougat Update

Problem: Hi Ever since the new update to 7.0 my phone has had problems connecting to the WiFi and not just at home, at work as well. I’ve tried forgetting both networks and re-adding them but still just wont connect saying there’s a credentials error even though the credentials are correct. if i restart my phone it connects to the WiFi straight away with no problem. but i don’t want to have to restart my phone everytime i change Wifi Connections. Any help would be great Thanks

Solution: This is most likely caused by some old software data that has not been completely removed during the software update. The best way to resolve this problem is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S6 Edge Screen Is Unresponsive After Getting Wet

Problem: Samsung S6 edge dropped in the toilet was in there a matter of seconds in the time it took for me to put my hand in and rescue it. It switches on receives calls and texts but the screen won’t let me put my pin in to access everything I can reset with the down volume and power button but cannot just turn it off or access the phone

Related Problem: i dropped my samsung galaxy s6 edge in water about 5 days ago and i immediately dried it and put it in rice for 5 days now i tried powering it on 2 days ago but the screen wouldn’t turn on and only the flash would work i would really appreciate if you could help me as i am currently borrowing a friends phone. thanks.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to wipe the phone dry with a soft cloth. Once the phone is dry place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture found inside the phone. Check if the issue still occurs after this. If it does then the phone might be water damaged in which case you will need to bring it to a service center and have it checked.
