S6 Edge Keeps Restarting

Problem: Hi. PLEASE HELP! The phone keeps restarting not even Samsung could help me they want me to pay them a ridiculous amount of money. The device keeps restarting. I tried wiping the data and resetting factory settings however whenever it’s getting to application install it keeps restarting itself again.

Solution: If the problem occurs after you have wiped the cache partition of the phone and performed a factory reset then it’s very likely that this is caused by an internal component that is failing to work. Try connecting the phone to its charger then check if you still experience the same issue. If not then the phone might have a faulty battery in which case you will need to have the battery replaced. If the issue still occurs even after connecting the phone to its charger then some other component is causing this problem. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Stuck On Samsung Screen After Overnight Charging

Problem: So my galaxy s6 edge was charging over night and I woke up the phone restarted itself now it’s stuck on the loading but with the word Samsung flashing but it doesn’t go beyond that point. The phone is unresponsive. What does this mean and what can I do? Please help

Solution: It’s likely that this problem is just caused by a software glitch. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix this issue. If after performing a step the issue still occurs then you should  proceed to the next step.

  • Perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the problem still occurs after performing the steps listed above then this could already be a hardware related issue. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Shuts Down On Its Own

Problem: My samsung galaxy edge is freaking out.. it shuts downs by itself… the touch stops working…battery draining like crazy…i tried updating software it gave me that it failed because an issue of firmware… can you support?

Solution: Since your phone appears to be experiencing several different issues at the same time I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. As soone as the reset is complete try to check if any of the issues still occur.  It’s very likely that the issues will disappear. In the event that the issues still occur.

  • Battery still drains – Try getting the a new battery and have the old one replaced.
  • Touchscreen stops working – The digitizer of the phone might already be faulty. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

S6 Edge Very Slow

Problem: Hi…I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge..I got as a hand-me-down it was slightly cracked the previous owner said it was dropped in water….it worked fine for about 6 months then all of a sudden the bottom lights started flickering its very very slow barely moves the screen I would restart it and it would do the same…..help

Solution: The first thing you should do in this case is to check if the issue also occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you need to backup your phone data and do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps yet in your phone. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by the phone coming in contact with water previously. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it  checked if this is the case.

S6 Edge Gets Overheated When Charging

Problem: My samsung galaxy s6 edge is getting overheated while charging or when i’m using it. Nothing specific happened. It happened 2 or 3 days ago.

Solution: A phone that overheat is a potential dangerous issue since it can cause damage not only to the device but the immediate surroundings as well. To troubleshoot this problem follow the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone. Does it still overheat? If it does then proceed to the next step.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done do not install any apps yet.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this issue could be caused by a short circuit.

S6 Edge Not Turning On After Overnight Charging

Problem: Hi there, i’m really hoping you can help me. The other night i was using my phone and the battery died so i put it on charge and went to bed. i woke up in the morning and it showed it was 100% charged, so i unplugged it and tried to turn it on but it did nothing, so i plugged in the charger to see if that would do anything but still nothing it won’t even register the charger now. is this something you can help me with? I’m desperate to get the photos from it as it was my daughter’s 1st birthday the other day and i am worried i may now have lost these . please please help me

Solution: Begin the troubleshooting by doing a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If you are not getting any response from your phone then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.

S6 Edge Heating Up Switches Off when Charged Using A Portable Charger

Problem: I was charging my S6 edge using a portable charger and few seconds later the phone is like switch off and it’s heating up before I unplug it. Am I able to reboot the phone and retrieve my data? If yes please help, thanks!

Solution: You need to perform the same troubleshooting steps as the issue we have addressed above. Perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the phone does not restart then follow the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.

If the problem persists then the portable charger might have short circuited a component inside the phone. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
