What to do if Galaxy S10 Plus won’t charge
Before you begin, make sure that your phone is not overheating because if it heats up fast to the point that you’re not comfortable holding it, do not attempt to troubleshoot the phone. Instead bring it back to the store. But assuming your phone isn’t heating up, here’s what you need to do if your Galaxy S10 Plus won’t charge.

The first thing you need to do is to check if the charger and the cable you’re using are still working the way they should especially if your phone was charging fine prior to the problem. If your phone hasn’t been dropped or submerged in water for a long time and then this problem started, then it could be just a minor issue with the charger or the cable.
As to the charger, just look into the port to see if there’s some kind of foreign material stuck in it that might be obstructing the charging process. You can get rid of it immediately by using a pair of tweezers or anything small enough that can fit into the port and fish out the debris or lint.
For the cable, you just have to check both ends to see if something is stuck, too. You can easily clean them out using a soft brush but make sure both ends are dry and that there are no crooked pins or connectors. After checking them, you also have to check the charge port of your Galaxy S10 Plus to look for the same thing that might be obstructing the process. Once you’ve checked everything, try charging your phone again to see if it works this time. If still no, then move on to the next step.
If there’s still a little battery left in your phone, at least, you can troubleshoot it. The next thing you have to do is force restart it to refresh its memory and reload everything that runs in the background. I encountered this problem a couple of times and fixed them using a very simple procedure–forced reboot.

Third step: Turn off your phone and charge it
There are times when a phone has some issues with its firmware and won’t charge if it’s powered on. That’s why, it’s important that you try to charge the phone while it’s powered down so that there wouldn’t be any interference. If the phone charges fine if it’s powered off, then you already know what the problem is. Perhaps a factory reset will fix that but allow your phone to replenish the battery first before doing the reset.
However, if the phone is still not charging even if it’s turned off, then the problem could already be in the hardware. If you still have enough battery left, you should try to reset your phone before bringing it back to the store. Or, if you may try charging it using a wireless charger. Even if the device has an issue charging using a wired charger, it may still work with wireless.
