J7 Stuck In Charging Mode
Problem: My phone is stuck with charging mode. My battery always has a lighting bulb on it. And the percentage reads 0% all the time.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in the port is removed as this can cause charging problems. Once this is done try to check if the phone is still stuck in charging mode. If it is then the next step is to check if a software glitch is causing the problem. For this you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If this doesn’t fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related issue already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Screen Keeps Flickering
Problem: I had bought a J7 about one and a half year ago. Suddenly from the last 2 months my phone screen is flickering on and off…i.e. it starts flickering and then stops on it’s own. After a few days it starts again. I took it to the place i bought it from. they say the screen may need to be replaced. I don’t know what to do. Please help.
Related Problem: Hello, My Samsung Galaxy J7 white screened, it keeps buzzing on and off. I’ve tried restarting it and all it does is open my phone for one second and shut back off. Could you please let me know how I can fix this? Or do I need a new phone? Or just a repair? Thank You
Solution: What you will want to do right now is to check if some form of software glitch is causing the problem by following the troubleshooting steps listed below. After performing a step ty to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed to the next step.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issue still occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then it’s very likely that the display assembly will have to be replaced. Bring your phone to a service center and have this checked.
J7 Does Not Start After Screen Replacement
Problem: I have Samsung J7 with broken screen. I purchased a new screen installed it but now phone just goes to Samsung J7 screen then goes to a gray screen and restarts. Any thoughts?
Solution: The problem could be caused by a faulty replacement screen. To verify if this is the case try starting the phone in recovery mode. If you can access this mode then it’s possible that a software glitch is the culprit. You will have to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In case the issue persists then it’s either the replacement screen is faulty or an internal component got damaged during the screen replacement. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Not Showing Email Message
Problem: I have a Galaxy J7. I have the gmail app synced to pull in my yahoo emails. All of the sudden this week, when I try to view emails on the app I see the email title but there is no body to the message. In the space where the body of the message should be it says, “View More” in blue, but nothing happens if I try to click on it. I have gone into Manage Applications and force stopped the gmail app. I have also rebooted, removed battery, etc… to no avail. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do is to try to access your Yahoo email from a computer browser. If you can access your email then the account does not have a problem, it’s now time to troubleshoot the phone. What you will want to do first is to make sure that Internet connection is not causing the problem. Try connecting the phone to a different Wi-Fi network. You should also try using your mobile data subscription in getting the emails.
If the issue still persists then try deleting the Yahoo mail account from the Gmail app then restart the phone. Once the phone has started add your Yahoo email again then check if the issue still occurs.

J7 Screen Turns Off In 8 Seconds
Problem: My screen goes off in 8 seconds regardless of the display settings. I’ve tried all of the settings, even 30 minutes and it will not stay on more than 8 seconds. It is a brand new phone and I love it, but this is getting very frustrating.
Solution: The first thing that you should do is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. In case the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
