J7 Apps Not Opening After Software Update

Problem: My samsung galaxy j7 asked for a software update on 14th Dec. I updated the software but once updated most of the apps are not opening, if opened it again comes back instantly to homepage with an error popping out that app is stopped, close the app. My gmail is also not opening. Kindly help….

Solution: You should try updating your phone apps first then check if the issue still occurs. Update the apps by opening the Google Play Store then go to the My Apps section. From here you will see a list of the apps that have updates available. Update them accordingly.

In case the issue still occurs even after updating the phone apps then the best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do  factory reset.

J7 Camera Warning Recording Failed Error

Problem: Hi, I’m currently using a samsung galaxy j7 prime. When i use my camera app to record videos, it says Warning: Recording failed. Same goes with snapchat or other apps that can record videos. But i still can take pictures. Please help me to solve my problem. Thanks.

Solution: The first thing that you should do in this particular case is to clear the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager. Check if the issue occurs afterwards. If it does then proceed with starting the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

Should the issue persist then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might be caused by a faulty camera module. You should have this checked at a service center.

J7 Slow And Freezes

Problem: My phone is less than three weeks old and is now slow in loading internet pages, pictures on Facebook, etc. I click on add comment takes more than a minute to load said section. I open an app and more than a minute passes before it logs in. And now it started freezing while i was typing this. Also began flickering before freezing. Help please. Also low signal in my house now but when i set it up i had medium signal. Should i buy an antenna booster?

Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this as this might be causing the problem. In case your phone does not have a microSD card or if the issue still occurs even after the card is removed then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you installed. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

J7 Battery Discharges Quickly

Problem: I have recently gifted a J7 samsung cell phone to a friend in Scotland. The phone is just one month old (bought new from Amazon). The battery discharges very rapidly or doesn’t hold a sufficient charge.

Solution: There’s a possibility that the issue is caused by an app installed in the phone.Try starting the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue still occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the battery still drains rapidly in Safe Mode then I suggest that a backup of the phone data be made then perform a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in the phone yet. Try checking first if the battery drains quickly. If it does then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. You need to have this battery checked and possibly replaced at a service center.

J7 Stuck In Boot Logo

Problem: Hello, I use Samsung galaxy J7 max . I brought it 2 months ago. While i was using it ,it got stuck I tried to switch it off but that didn’t happen then after a while the phone got automatically restarted itself and got stuck with the half logo. I request you to please help me. Thank you.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to remove the microSD card of the phone if one is installed. Once this is done proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

J7 Android Lying On Back Error

Problem: has problems with keeping the network stable. Looses connectivity and suddenly it refuses to run the system updates. It downloads them and restarts itself to notify you that it is running update (green update icon) then it comes with one lying on its back and just says error I have already done soft reset and hard reset several time and reloaded. Last time I took it in I was told at Samsung that I need to replace the motherboard

Solution: If a factory reset fails to fix this problem then it’s possible that this is already a hardware related problem. If it isn’t economically feasible to have the motherboard replaced then I suggest that you get a new phone instead.

J7 Not Turning On

Problem: hi ! i have a problem on my phone.. last time when i was charging but not using , it suddenly turn off and then it wont turn on . but i try to charge it , after a minute .. the back portion is heating up so i remove the charger . what is the problem of my phone?

Solution: What you should do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone first using a can of compressed air. Once this is done try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the issue still persists then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component, possibly the battery. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
