J5 Stuck In Samsung Logo

Problem: Good day.I have recently bought a samsung J5. The phone is actually a day old and it never fell. The problem with it now is the fact that it switches on only until by the logo of samsung. I tried taking out the battery then putting it back, i tried the step of pressing the volume+home button+power button at the same time to do a custom fix but after that still it only ends up at the samsung logo. What could be the problem? How can I fix it myself without having to pay thousands of money because i bought it from someone who didn’t want it after she bought it. Please help.

Solution: Usually, when a phone gets stuck in the Samsung logo it is caused by a software glitch which is what we will be troubleshooting first. Follow the steps listed below to fix the problem. After performing each step immediately check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed to the next step.

  • Does the phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this could be what’s causing the problem.
  • Remove the battery of the phone then press the power button for at least a minute. Reinsert the battery then turn on the phone.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase the phone data.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode then checking if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If your phone has a microSD card you should also try removing it as this might be causing the problem.

If the issue persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.

Solution: A corrupted microSD card can cause a phone to reboot constantly. We’re glad that you were able to fix the problem by removing the old microSD card and installing a new one.
