J5 Stuck In Samsung Logo

Problem: Good day.I have recently bought a samsung J5. The phone is actually a day old and it never fell. The problem with it now is the fact that it switches on only until by the logo of samsung. I tried taking out the battery then putting it back, i tried the step of pressing the volume+home button+power button at the same time to do a custom fix but after that still it only ends up at the samsung logo. What could be the problem? How can I fix it myself without having to pay thousands of money because i bought it from someone who didn’t want it after she bought it. Please help.

Solution: Usually, when a phone gets stuck in the Samsung logo it is caused by a software glitch which is what we will be troubleshooting first. Follow the steps listed below to fix the problem. After performing each step immediately check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed to the next step.

  • Does the phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it as this could be what’s causing the problem.
  • Remove the battery of the phone then press the power button for at least a minute. Reinsert the battery then turn on the phone.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase the phone data.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J5 Keeps Turning On And Off

Problem: My phone keeps turning on and off help! Whenever I turn my screen off my phone turns on and off by itself, and if I keep my phone idle it turns on and off as well! It’s really annoying because it drains the battery a lot and I have to resort to powering off my phone because I don’t want to drain my battery but I also want to listen to music as well so it’s a really annoying problem. Please give the solution thanks!

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode then checking if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If your phone has a microSD card you should also try removing it as this might be causing the problem.

If the issue persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J5 Rebooting Constantly

Problem: I was having an issue with my Samsung J5 rebooting constantly unless it was plugged into the charger. I finally removed the SD card and found it was corrupted and that was the cause. The phone works perfectly now and I was able to install a new SD card with no problem.

Solution: A corrupted microSD card can cause a phone to reboot constantly. We’re glad that you were able to fix the problem by removing the old microSD card and installing a new one.

There are however instances when a software glitch is the culprit. In this case you will need to perform a factory reset on the phone. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

J5 Error In Upgrading Phone Software

Problem: I buy my J5 samsung in germany, now i’m in Bosnia, when i want to upgrade firmware ,my phone download firmware shut down then turn ON than showing me upgrading after 7 seconds my phone show me ERROR and restart yourself after that phone work normally…where is the problem

Solution: What error message are you getting on the phone? From the error message that you are getting we can pinpoint the exact issue of the device. Since the problem occurred during a software upgrade try to check if the upgrade was a success by checking the software version your phone is running on. If it is still the old software version then you will need to do the update again by following the steps listed below.

  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
  • Check for the update manually then install it.
  • You should also try using Smart Switch to update your phone software in case the manual update fails.

J5 Only Charges When Off

Problem: My samsung galaxy J5 only charges when i turn it off. When turned on there is no lightning bolt to show it is charging and drains

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to check if the charger is causing the problem. Try using a different charger and charging cord to charge your phone. In case the issue persists then you need to perform a factory reset on the phone to check if a software glitch is causing the problem. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

J5 Cannot Send Photos In Texting

Problem: Oct 13, phone updated and all of sudden  i can not send photos through texting  I need that to work as it’s the profession i am in and clients need that instant view. HELP!!!!

Solution: You need to make sure that the phone mobile data switch is on and that you have an active mobile data subscription. You also need to check the APN settings of your phone and make sure that it is the same as what your carrier is using.

In case your phone meets the above conditions yet the issue remains then I recommend that you do a factory reset since this happened right after an update. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the update.

Problem: Hi I bought a sim free samsung j5 & I can’t get LTE or 4G network.. it doesn’t give me the option to select it even.. what could this be?

  • Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
  • Press the settings icon.
  • Press Mobile networks.
  • Press Network mode.
