J3 TouchWiz Home Has Stopped Working

Problem: My touch home wiz had stopped after software updating. I tried to check the application manager but I can’t find the touch home wiz app there. In the default applications , however, I found the app but I can’t tap it. It seems to be deactivated. And every time I open my it appears home touchwiz has stopped. I hope you can help me with this. It is somewhat annoying. Thank you so much.

Solution: When you get an error stating that the TouchWiz Home has stopped working the first thing that you should do is to clear the cache and data of the TouchWiz Home app from the recovery mode. Once this is done restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs. In case this fails to fix the problem then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete the issue should disappear.

J3 Device Is Overheating Error

Problem: Hi, my son has the Samsung J3 and it has been great so far but just yesterday it started giving a msg that it is overheating although it is not at all hot. I googled the issue and saw many references to this problem but where the phone is indeed hot. My son’s phone is not hot at all and it won’t let me charge it or anything. It just says, “Unable to open this application. Your device is overheating.” I also had a msg like this: “Attention 1 applications have been closed. Your device is overheating. You can only use the Phone and Contacts applications.” He had a lot of items in there photos and videos and fortunately, when I plugged it by usb into the computer I was able to get all of it to his personal computer. I then tried the reset by pushing the volume/home/off key and wiped the cache. Still I get the msg it is overheating when it is totally cool to the touch. Can you help us? All the google results are for phones that indeed are physically hot. Sorry I didn’t know how to tell you the android version below.

Solution: Since you have already backed up the phone data the best thing that you can do right now is to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. Make sure to remove the microSD card ( if one is installed) before performing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could be a hardware related problem already. Try replacing the battery with a new one. If this fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Black Screen With Notifications Working

Problem: HI. I have a galaxy j3 and I can hear that it works but it has a black screen. I don’t have a blue light flashing. I tried safe reset and mastery reset-nothing worked. I tried taking the battery out and everything that the internet told me. NOTHING worked. When I took out the battery, I put it back and since i haven’t pressed the power on/off button, the phone is still off. When i placed it on the charger, the green battery screen doesn’t come up. I honestly don’t know what to do at this point.

Solution: The best way to address this problem is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then this could be caused by a software glitch. You will then need to perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. In case the screen is still black even in recovery mode then the display is most likely faulty. The best way to proceed in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: My phone is Samsung J3 and it accidentally fall from an approximately 5 feet drawer. After that, I wasn’t able to check it if it’s working but when I returned after 4 hrs and it doesn’t turn on anymore. I’ve already tried all the steps but the screen won’t turn on though the sound when the device is turned on still works as well as the sound of the volumes when pressed. I’m sorry but I’m not sure about the other info. I provided. Thank you for reading this , I hope you could respond immediately .

Solution: It looks like the drop might have damaged the display assembly. To check if this is the case you should start the phone in recovery mode. If the display works here then there’s a chance that the problem is caused by a software glitch in which case you will have to do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. However, if the screen does not work in this mode then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 No Service

Problem: i have a samsung j3 2016 mobile i bought this phone last month and it worked fine i made calls, answered called etc but as i try to now make and recive it comes up with no service and not registered to network i am currently registered to lycamobile and when i bought this device it is in fact unlocked. Please can you provide me with a solution as i have tried everything like restarting the phone taking the sim out etc but had no luck.

Solution: What you should do right now is to check the SIM card on another phone. If it is still getting a no service or not registered to network issue then the SIM might be damaged in which case you will need to get a new one.

In case the SIM works on another device then it’s time to troubleshoot the phone. Reinsert the SIM back to your phone. Try going to different locations then check if the phone is able to get a service. If not then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete and the same issue occurs then this is most likely a hardware related problem already. You will then need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Calls Can’t Be Heard

Problem: I bought a J3 Emerge in early January. Three months later, people call me, I answer, I hear three bleep bleep bleeps and it sounds like it disconnects. They can hear me but I can’t hear them. Took it to Sprint and they got it working again. Now, just 3 weeks later it is doing the same thing. I am wondering if the J3 Emerge is the cause. I hate to think I spent good money paying for the phone to have it turn out to be a lemon. Can you tell me how to reset this so I can actually answer calls? It’s very annoying to think this may be happening every month or less. Thanks for any insight you can provide me.

Solution: Try starting the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then proceed with a factory reset. Take note that you should backup your phone data before doing the reset.

In case the problem still remains after the reset then you need to have your phone checked at a service center as this could already be a hardware related problem.
