J3 Switches Off Automatically
Problem: I have had the samsung galaxy j3 for a few months now. My problem is when i stop using the phone it automatically switches itself off. I have reset it several times including a factory reset and it still switches off. Any advice or take it back to the shop
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset on the phone then we can rule out any software glitches for now. The next thing that you should do is to try to replace the battery with a new one as the current battery that you are using might be causing the problem. In case the issue persists even with a new battery installed then I suggest that you have this checked at a service center as it could already be caused by a faulty internal component.
J3 Camera Not Focusing
Problem: When using the camera on a tripod for Facebook Live, the camera is doing a motion that looks like a rapid in and out like autofocus, even though the subject is in focus. And it’s doing that motion over and over, like every 1-3 seconds. Have not had any luck finding any solutions when searching online about this problem. If you have any idea, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Solution: Are you in an environment that has proper lighting? If the area has low lighting then the phone might have difficulty focusing which is what’s happening right now. Try to move to a brightly lit area then check if the issue still occurs.
You should also try to check if the issue only occurs when you use the Facebook Live feature or if it also occurs when you use the stock camera of the phone. Id it’s only on Facebook then you should try to uninstall the app then download a fresh version from the Google Play Store.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clear the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J3 Shuts Off Not Turning On
Problem: My j3 shut off instantly, I tried taking out the power, draining it, charging it, rebooting it, it still will not turn on.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris stuck in it gets removed.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its charger.
- If the phone does not charge then try charging it from a computer USB port.
- You should try replacing the battery with a new one in case the phone does not charge.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be caused by an internal component that is failing to work. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Screen Is Frozen After Phone Got Wet
Problem: i accidently spilt tea on my samsung galaxy j3 so i took out the battery and cleaned the phone as there was tea inside the device. then i reinstalled the battery and kept turning it on and off, it was fuzzy at first then it worked after i put it in rice. but the screen is frozen and this will be the third time losing another phone. i hope this is fixable do you have any idea of what i should do???
Related Problem: I had my phone lying on the side of the tub and water had gotten splashed on it, not what I would have considered a dangerous amount; and yes, I know I shouldn’t have been taking a bath with it. I took the battery out, which had no water underneath and dried everything off. It came back on fine and worked fine for an hour afterward. Then the screen began jumping and finally stopped responding to touch. I’ve done the rice for two days. It still powers on and is responding for a second to touch then jumps and freezes again.
Solution: It’s very likely that some liquid has entered the phone’s internal circuit. What you will want to do right now is to remove the battery and SIM card then place the phone in a bag of rice. Leave the phone here for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done try checking if the issue still occurs.
If the problem persists then the phone has most likely suffered from water damaged. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
J3 Restarts On Its Own
Problem: Phone suddenly restarts on its own at anytime when it’s on use; when I’m on a phone call, browsing the internet etc. The issue started 2 months ago. The phone is very good condition.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- If your phone has a microSD card installed then try removing it as this might be causing the problem.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
