J3 Not Transferring Files To PC
Problem: Phone was working fine until I began adding security apps that only made it operate slower to the point of making it freeze. Also ran the app that cleans out excess cache, etc. So I deleted those apps, and now I’ve noticed that when I plug the USB into a PC or laptop to transfer files, neither the phone nor PC will recognize each other. It will charge the battery, but won’t connect. All else seems to function properly. I went into settings but can’t find anything about USB connectivity. Please help!
Solution: To transfer files between your phone and your PC you will need to connect the phone to your computer using a USB cord. If this is the first time that you will be connecting the phone to your computer then it will first download the necessary drivers. Drag down on the notification panel of your phone to open the USB connection window. There are several options that you can choose from this window. Just make sure that it reads connected as a media device so that you can transfer files to your computer.
In case this does not work then try cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Install the Smart Switch Software in your computer then connect your phone using a different USB cord to the computer.
J3 Not Connecting To Internet
Problem: my Galaxy J-3 says it’s connected to my hotspot but it will not connect to the internet at all. I did a soft reset it did a hard reboot I did a factory reset and now I don’t have any apps and when it tries to sign into the Google it won’t connect to the internet still and there’s no applications how do I fix it, if I need to connect to my laptop I can just need info on what to do to my laptop, how do I fix it?
Solution: There might be an issue with the hotspot that you are connecting to. Try connecting the phone to a different hotspot or better yet try connecting the phone to a Wi-Fi network. If the phone is still unable to go online then you should have this checked at a service center.
J3 Not Charging Not Turning On
Problem: My Samsung galaxy J3 went off because the battery was low, then I plug it, after that, it will bring the charging display for 5 seconds, the icon will disappear for some seconds and reappear again. If I turn it on, It will just display the welcome page and turn off again
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris present in this port. Once this is done try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the phone does not charge then try charging it from a computer USB port. Turn on the phone after charging.
If the issue persists then try using a new battery on your phone as this might just be caused by a faulty battery.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Does Not Respond
Problem: I’ve had my phone for almost a year now. On 11/15/17 I was playing my music on the phone just fine with the screen facing down on the table. I was working outside under an umbrella and some light may have hit the back of the phone. Well anyway my manager goes over to check Pandora to see which song was playing and as soon as he goes to look at the screen the music goes off and my phone just doesn’t respond. Every attempt to remove the battery did absolutely nothing for it. The problem that I keep getting is the phone keeps displaying a blue LED momentarily for up to 10 to 20 secs at a time and it’s accompanied by two vibrations. It does this for pretty much every method I’ve looked up. I’ve tried holding down Volume Up, Power and Home at the same time to no avail. The screen just doesn’t display anything and I continue to get the same blue LED and vibrations.
Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is caused by a battery not having sufficient charge. To fix this problem just follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
- If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger, You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- Remove the battery and microSD card of the phone ( if you have one installed). Press and hold the power button for at least a minute then reinsert the battery.
- Turn on the phone.
If the issue still persists then try using a new battery. If this fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Shuts Down Then Reboots
Problem: Hi This past week my phone has been shutting off and rebooting itself . I had the battery changed and it’s still happening and typing is very slow it pauses. The only way the phone does not shut off and reboot itself is if I’m listening to music which I find very strange.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset the issue still occurs then this is most likely caused by a hardware component that is failing to work. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Lags
Problem: My phone lags, it’s really slow I’ve only had it a few months. When I am playing music, watching a video the sound will fade in and out even if I have the volume turned all the way up and have the notifications on silent.
Solution: Try removing the microSD card of the phone ( if you have one installed) then check if the issue still occurs. If it does or if your phone does not have a microSD card then you will have to perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
