How To Fix Maneater That Keeps Crashing on Xbox Series S

In this post, we will show you how to fix Maneater that keeps crashing on Xbox Series S, and understand the reason why such a problem occurs to prevent it from happening again in the future. Read on to learn more.

Game crashes are among the most common issues you may encounter every now and then. But just because the game keeps crashing doesn’t mean that it’s corrupted or missing some files. While that can be one of the factors, it’s still possible that the problem is caused by a minor technical issue with your Xbox Series S, or any console for that matter.

This kind of problem is fixable, as long as you’re willing to do some troubleshooting procedures. In fact, you may only need to do a couple of things to make Maneater work smoothly again. With that being said, here are things you can try:

Fix #1: Force stop Maneater and reopen it

If the game has been working properly before this problem started, then it’s probably just due to a minor technical issue with the game. So the first thing you need to do is to stop it and then open it again. Most of the time, such a problem is enough to fix a game that keeps crashing. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller.
  2. Highlight the Maneater and hit the Menu button.
  3. Highlight Quit and press A to close it.

After that, reopen the game and see if the lags and stuttering still occur.

Fix #2: Restart your console

After doing the first solution and Maneater continues to crash, then what you should do next is to refresh the memory of your console. The problem can be due to a glitch in the system. It’s something that can be fixed by doing the reboot. This is how you restart your Xbox Series S:

  1. Press and hold on the Xbox button on your controller.
  2. Highlight Restart console and press A to confirm.

The reboot will take less than a minute to complete, so once your console becomes active, open Maneater and see if it still crashes or stops working.

Fix #3: Check Xbox Live Status

A game that keeps crashing can also be due to a server issue. So what you have to do next is to check if there are currently issues with Xbox Live, because if there is, then that might be the reason Maneater crashes, and probably other games as well. Here’s how you check the Xbox Live Status:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge on your console.
  2. Log on to support.xbox.com, and then click on Xbox status.
  3. Now check if there are services that are currently down or having issues.

If it shows that some services are down, then you just have to wait until they’re fixed. Most of the time, they get fixed within an hour or two. However, if all services are up and running, then try the next solution.

Fix #4: Reinstall the game

After making sure that the problem isn’t with the servers, then what you have to do next is to reinstall the game. This must be your last resort as it may take a few minutes before you can play again depending on how fast your connection is. Here’s what you should do:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller.
  2. At the Home tab, highlight My games & apps and press A.
  3. Select See all to view all your games and apps.
  4. Highlight Maneater then press the menu button on the controller.
  5. Select Uninstall and press A.
  6. Now select Uninstall All and confirm it.

When the game is uninstalled, restart your console one more time and reinstall Maneater. It should work properly now.
