  1. At the search bar on your Windows located at the lower left, type Command Prompt

Solution 3: Delete Discord folders and other related files

To do this:

  1. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open RUN dialog box

  3. Inside Roaming folder, scroll down and locate Discord
  4. Right click on Discord and click Delete from the drop down menu
  5. Press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open RUN dialog box
  6. At RUN dialog box, type %LocalAppData% and press Enter or click OK. File explorer window will open but this time with under Local folder.
  7. Inside Local Folder, scroll down and locate Discord.
  8. Right click on Discord and click Delete from the drop down menu
  9. Restart Computer

Solution 4: Install Discord

After uninstalling Discord and removing discord related files, you need to reinstall Discord application.

To do this:

  1. Launch web browser
  2. Go to Discord website from here
  3. Click Download for Windows tab. This will download Discord application latest version.
  4. Once download is complete, right click on setup.exe and then select Run as Administrator from the drop down menu. If User Account Control (UAC) appears, click OK.
  5. Run the Discord executable and then follow the onscreen instructions on how to install Discord.

Solution 5: Uninstall Windows Update
