Method 1: Factory Reset Bose Speaker

Method 2: Check for product updates

Updating the latest version of the products helps fix software related issues that may have caused the product will not turn ON. Make sure your speaker software is up to date.

There are two simply ways to update your product: Via Bose connect app or by connecting the speaker to a computer and then head over to the Bose Online Updater found on Bose Website. Simply search the specific speaker that you want to check for updates.

Method 3: Check status of Battery LED Indicator light

The LED indicator light of each Bluetooth speakers can vary that depends on the device if it is operating on battery, or if it is plugged in. Now, there are 5 indicator LED lights on this device. Make sure to check the status of the battery light of your Bose speaker from power.

Here’s a brief overview of what the Battery LED indicator light means while charging:

  • First power LED indicator light is blinking: 0-20% battery charge
  • Second power LED indicator light is blinking: 20-40% battery charge
  • Third power LED indicator light is blinking: 40-60% battery charge
  • Fourth power LED indicator light is blinking: 60-80 % battery charge

Method 4: Check if battery is fully charged

After checking the status of the indicator light, next is to check whether the battery if fully charged.   2. Press and hold the Multi-function button for 10 seconds
  3. Unplug Bluetooth speaker while you are still hold the Multifunction button for 10 seconds.
  4. Release Multi-function button

To disable ship mode:

  1. Connect speaker to the main outlet of the power supply.

Method 7: Make sure Bose Bluetooth speaker is turned off when not in use

Keep in mind that when the Bose Bluetooth speaker is still ON even when you are not using it drains its battery. If at one point you unknowingly left it turned ON for a period of time, it is possible that the device wont turn ON because it no longer has a battery charge.

Although if the device does not detect a nearby bluetooth or AUX signal for about 30 minutes, it has this feature that it automatically turns OFF. However though, it is recommended to manually turn it OFF if you plan to use not it.
