How to Hide and View Conversations on Galaxy S20 Messenger

For confidentiality or privacy reasons, some people would opt to hide sensitive messages and conversations. Thankfully, modern messaging apps are already programmed to execute such functions to hide any confidential messages or conversations on the phone. And Facebook’s standalone messaging application — Messenger is also capable of this function. In case you’re wondering how to make use of this Messenger feature on your new Samsung Galaxy smartphone, I have prepared a simple walkthrough. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to hide and view conversations on the galaxy s20 Messenger app.

Hiding messages or conversations on Messenger is made possible through archive. Archive refers to a collection of documents or records. In the Messenger app, archive is a dedicated folder that stores previous messages and conversations you’ve had with any of your Facebook friends via Messenger. Archived messages are hidden messages as they’re not shown among other messages on the Chats screen or inbox. To view these hidden messages, you will need to access the Archive folder. Below are detailed instructions on how to access this folder on the new galaxy s20 Messenger application.

If nothing is displayed after tapping the Search box on the chats screen, it is likely because there’s no archived message to be displayed in the first place. Perhaps, the message you’re trying to view was already deleted permanently.

Unfortunately, conversations on the Messenger app that have been deleted permanently can no longer be retrieved or restored through the app. Nevertheless, there is a way for you to recover deleted messages through the main Facebook application. A separate tutorial depicting the actual process of recovering deleted messages on Facebook app will also be published on this site.

And that covers everything in this tutorial. Please keep posted for more comprehensive tutorials, tips and tricks that will help you make the most of your new Samsung galaxy s20 smartphone.
