How to add or remove an email account on Galaxy Note10+

Adding an email account is simple. Before you do so, be sure that you know your credentials like username and password and other server settings (depending on your email provider) to avoid delays. Then, just follow the steps below on what to do:

  1. Open Settings app.
  2. Swipe to and select Accounts and backup
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Add account
  5. Tap Personal (IMAP) if you want to keep the emails stored on the server or Personal (POP3) if you want the emails to be downloaded on your device. 
  6. Enter your email address. Depending on your email provider, you may have additional requirements to complete setup on your device. 

If necessary, sign into your account via the internet, and then turn on access to allow use of the app.

Some situations may call for an Android user to remove an email account. Whether you’re troubleshooting or merely wanting to remove an account, below are the steps to do so. Keep in mind that removing an email account from your phone is temporary. Your email account will still be kept in your email provider’s servers afterwards.

  1. Open Settings app.
  2. Swipe to and select Accounts and backup
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Select your email account
  5. Tap Remove account
