How to use Turn-by-Turn Navigation with Galaxy S20 Google Maps
In this post, I have demonstrated a step by step guide on how to use turn-by-turn navigation with the Galaxy S20 Google Maps app. If you are still new to the Android platform with the Galaxy S20 as the first device to operate, feel free to refer to this quick tutorial.
Modern cars are already equipped with advanced infotainment systems that are compatible with both iOS and Android devices. And to make the most of these contemporary car systems, navigation apps are also created. Among the most trusted and widely used navigation apps to date is the internet giant’s Maps app, otherwise known as Google Maps.

Using Turn-by-Turn Navigation with the Galaxy S20 Google Maps

The following steps demonstrate the actual process of setting up and utilizing turn-by-turn navigation system with the Google Maps app on the new Samsung Galaxy S20 handset.<br>Before you begin, verify and ensure that location is enabled on your phone. It has to be enabled so that your device can determine your current location.
Tap to open the Google folder from the Home screen.
A new screen consisting of Google-related apps and services will be displayed.
Tap Maps to open Google Maps app.
If this is the first time you use Google Maps on your Galaxy S20, you’ll be prompted with a Welcome screen. If you see this screen, read and review the information then tap GOT IT to proceed.
On the Maps screen, tap the Go icon at the bottom-right section.
Doing so will prompt you with another screen wherein you can enter details for your navigation request.
Tap the Choose destination field to specify your target location as a travel destination.
On the next screen, simply type in the name of the place where you’d like to travel to.If prompted, select the correct location from the search result.
After entering your destination, tap the Start button at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
That should prompt the app to start giving turn by turn navigation instructions.

Follow the rest of the turn by turn navigation instructions until you reach your destination.
Google Maps is also compatible with MirrorLink. That said, you can use it to take advantage of the phone’s hands-free driving feature.
MirrorLink is a built-in app on the Galaxy phone that’s often used to manage calls, messages, and navigation through your car’s display. This will require the use of a car stereo system.
Aside from Google Maps, you can also use other driving apps to navigate with your galaxy s20. among the best Android driving apps compatible with the S20 would include but not limited to Android Auto, Car Dashdroid, Drivermode, HERE WeGo, and Waze, to name a few.
You can download any of these apps as an alternative to the pre-installed Google Maps app.
