S9+ Takes Too Long To Reboot

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+, whenever it dies it takes hours to reboot (charging is fine) however it overheats and dies. The only thing that works from the things I’ve tried is factory reset, but I would like to stop losing all my data every time my phone dies, but it takes over 24 hours to reboot and every time I have to factory reset it. It can be fully charged and everything. I have cleaned cache but hesitate when clicking reboot now since i’ve never seen it fully reboot. is there anything I can do?

Solution: If the problem keeps on coming back even after you have performed a factory reset then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. Dos your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does have one then try removing it as this might be causing the problem. In case the issue occurs when the phone does not have a microSD card installed then I recommend that you bring this to a service center and have it checked.

S9+ Charging Cord Damages Battery

Problem: Just bought the Samsung Galaxy S9 plus and when I went to pick it up, the salesman told me not to use the cable charger that comes with the phone because it will destroy the battery. I said why is it included if it can’t be used and he said that’s how they make you purchase the wireless charger pad and Verizon, where I purchased it makes you think you are getting something for free. Is any of this true? I can’t use that charger at all?

Solution: As long as it is a Samsung charging cord that comes with the phone it will not destroy the battery of the device. There’s even a possibility that the cord itself will be damaged after several uses since the strain placed on the cord usually breaks the wires inside it.

It is however much better to use the wireless charger since this will mean less wear and tear on the charging port of the phone.

S9+ Only Charges With Samsung Charger After Crashing

Problem: galaxy S9+ crashed phone. I received your prompt reply and was still trying all the methods you put on your site in troubleshooting this problem and resigned myself to buying a new phone but still left the phone charging even though there was no sign of life. I’d tried a couple of chargers but no joy , I just happened to have it plugged into a Samsung original charger and not the generic ones when I thought I’d give it one more try after going to it all day for two days every half hour ish pressing the buttons to no avail , when it suddenly sparked into life and started to restore to factory settings , yeah I’ve lost all pics and passwords and it’s lagging a bit but it’s better than it was. I think what kick started it was plugging it into an original Samsung charger and leaving it a while, strange but I’ve had other things connected to the same charger and it’s not charged non Samsung items up. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tech info.

Solution: You should try to observe your phone first. Hopefully this is just caused by a software glitch which got fixed when the factory reset was performed. In case the issue still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S9+ Stuck In Samsung Logo

Problem: it was working properly at night, but today its battery at 2% and it turned off. when connected to the charger, the charger logo was coming with the loading sign which was paused. After that, pressing the power button multiple times it is showing the logo of SAMSUNG . i even tried all those methods available on your website, but it was still unable to open. i have taken of the battery multiple times and even put the other one that I was having already at home. but still it isn’t opening. it is only showing that battery logo with loading sign and the logo of SAMSUNG

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do  in this case is to remove the microSD card of the phone if you have one installed. Next, make sure that the battery has sufficient charge by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Once the phone has charged try turning it on by pressing both power and volume down buttons simultaneously.

If the issue persists then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
