S9 Only One Side Of Headset Jack Works
Problem: For some odd reason when I plug in my earbuds only the left side works… but when I plug them in a different device both sides work just fine… And I have tried a different pair of earbuds on my phone and the same thing happens only one side works and then I try them on the other device and they work just fine… I have no idea what happened or what’s going on with my headphone jack.
Solution: Since you have already verified that the earbuds work when connected to another device then we shall proceed with troubleshooting the phone itself. Unfortunately the only thing we can do in this particular case is to clean the headphone jack of the phone using a can of compressed air as dirt stuck in it could be causing the problem. You also need to do a factory reset to eliminate any software glitches that could be causing the problem. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then the phone might have a damaged headset jack assembly. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S9 Headset Not Working
Problem: Hey guys I have a problem with my handsfree (headset? Gosh I don’t know what it is in English!!!). When I plug it into it’s port, I can change the volume or play music with the headset (by playing, I mean, it just shows the icon on notifications bar) but there is no sound at all! At first I thought the problem is with the headset so I changed it but after a while the second one stopped working too… the first one was the original one that company put on the phone. I tried the original one on my laptop and the right side of it played the sound but nothing from the left side… but it still doesn’t work on my phone… can you help please? I’m going crazy without music!
Solution: Try cleaning the headset jack of the phone making sure that any dirt or debris stuck in it gets removed. Once the port is clean try using different headsets on the phone and check if the problem still occurs. If it does then proceed with doing a factory reset. This will allow you to eliminate any software related glitches that could be causing the problem. In case the issue still persists after the reset then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
S9 Has Low Call Volume
Problem: I have a samsung galaxy S9 and its brand new, had it for less than a month, right? Basically all i got this phone for is for calling my long distance boyfriend when he’s not here but third party calling apps (Facebook messenger, Discord) have insanely low call volume. It sounds like it’s on the lowest setting when its on max. I cant use the normal phone app because i only have a certain amount of minutes. I’ve already reset my phone, AND did a factory reset and still nothing different. My brother has the same phone and doesn’t have this issue. It’s very frustrating. Please help.
Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case i to make sure that the volume level is set to its maximum level.
- From a Home screen, swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
- Go to Settings then Sounds and vibration.
- Tap Volume.
- Make sure that all options are set to their maximum level
- When on a call you should also press on the volume up button to increase the call volume.
If this does not fix the problem then you might want to try using the loudspeaker of the phone or using a headset when making calls.
S9 Sound Is Not Working
Problem: My phone was working fine yesterday . This morning I discovered that none sounds are working, no videos from youtube, netflix, no app sounds, no ringtones. I really don’t want to do a factory reset. I have already checked for software updates, accessibility, sound volumes, mute. I also restarted the phone
Solution: If the sound volume setting is already in its maximum setting and you have already tried restarting the phone which does not fix the problem then you should definitely consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
