S8+ Not Getting Network Signal Unless Phone Is Restarted

Problem: I Have a Galaxy S8+ that I cannot get a connection to the network until I enter a phone number and then I am okay, at least until I turn off and turn back on the phone.  Before connecting to the network, I have tried to send a Message and I get this error message: “no signal found for mobile network”. After I do make the call, everything works fine.

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now to check if other devices in your immediate area running on the same network are also having the same problem. If they are then this is most likely a network related problem. In case it is only your device that is having this issue then the best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component possibly the phone antenna. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S8+ No Network After Unlocking

Problem: I had  my s8+ android phone unlocked and had my phone line from Metro PCS but its showing no network. I’ve done a hard and soft reset on it but still nothing. I also tried to go to APN and add it manually but it doesn’t give me the option to add one or no menu at all. And also the mobile data switch doesn’t stay on. Is there anyway you can give me some advice on it or should I just get another phone?

Solution: Is the SIM card you inserted in the phone active? Try checking by placing the SIM in another device. If there is a network signal then the issue is most likely caused by an error during the unlocking process. Does your phone have a valid IMEI number? Sometimes this number gets corrupted during the unlocking. There’s also the possibility that the phone has not been completely unlocked which is why it is still locked to its original network. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a service center.

S8+ Not Registered On Network Error

Problem: I’m having issues with my S8+ . It just started to get the “not registered on network” message when I try to make calls, and I have very spotty reception in an area that I had no problems before. I was told from straight talk that it was my sim card, so I got a new one. That didn’t work. So I borrowed a dumb phone and ordered a new phone. When the new phone arrived it did the same thing! I called Samsung and they placed the blame on Straight Talk, and Straight Talk put the blame on Samsung.. Do you have any insight on the matter?

Solution: If the same issue occurs when the SIM card is placed on a new phone then the problem could either be caused by the network in your area or the SIM card itself. Either way there’s a big probability that the problem is on Straight Talk’s end.

S8+ Insert SIM Card Error

Problem: Hello I have a S8+. I dropped the phone by accident and the screen went black also the phone signal died. I took the phone to the Samsung store and they managed to get the screen working (all functionality including Wi-Fi works but not the phone so I replaced the sim card and for a few hours the phone worked fine. Then later it crashed again and now it doesn’t detect I have a sim card the phone keeps requesting insert your sim card! Can you help me?

Solution: Try removing the SIM card then insert it again in your phone. If the issue persist then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This way you can check if the problem is caused by a software glitch.

In case the issue still persists then you should have this checked at a service center as this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component.
