S8+ Pictures In microSD Card Are Corrupted

Problem: I bought a Samsung 128g evo+ SD card to use in my S8 Plus in July. I took some pictures and everything was fine then after a few minutes there was a grey box on them. Since then formatted the card and it seemed ok but last week I got a few more pics with a similar issue. I should mention that I changed the camera setting from 4:2(12) to 6:9(16) before taking the picture. I did this because it seemed too short to take a picture.

Solution: It looks like the problem is caused by a corrupted microSD card. Since you have already formatted this card and the issue still persists then I suggest that you get a new card and check if the problem still occurs with this new card. If it does then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S8+ Charging Cord Gets Easily Damaged

Problem: Got a S8 plus and I’m onto my 3 charger cord now. I’m not buying the cheap ones either. I just want to know if many other people are having the same problem. It’s getting costly now that they are only last a couple off months now.

Solution: To ensure that the charging cord you use does not get damaged you will need to  make sure to take care of it properly. Some tips on how to do this are listed below.

  • Unplug the charging cord by holding its head and not the cord. While pulling from the cord might not damage it immediately there’s this tendency when the stress from pulling the cord will weaken the wires inside thus will be damaged over time.
  • Don’t expose the charging cord to extreme temperatures. This could either be a very hot or very cold environment.
  • When not using the charging cord make sure to store it in a safe place where no one can trip over it.
  • It also helps to get high quality charging cords. If you can get a Samsung branded cord then this is what you should use on your phone.

S8+ Moisture Detected Error

Problem: Hi. I have a Samsung S8 Plus for a while, 2 weeks ago a got an error that says it detected moisture. I searched on the internet and saw that this is a common error so i tried to give it time but i still have it.  YEsterday i tried to charge my phone and when i wake up i found that it didn`t charge at all. Now i cannot do anything i`m trying to charge it and i can`t because of the error, also i can`t open it because it has no battery. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Solution: The moisture detected error usually occurs when the charging port is wet or has some liquid in it. What you will need to do in this case is to make sure that the phone charging port is dry. Use a vacuum to remove any presence of liquid in this port. You can also use a hair dryer to evaporate the moisture inside the port. Once this is done restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs. If the issue persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Try using a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone.
  • Try using a wireless charger to charge the phone. Once the phone charges and turns on then you should consider doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this might already be a hardware related problem.

S8+ Is Not Charging

  • Try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes.

S8+ Not Turning On With Green LED Light

Problem: I took my Galaxy s8+ off charge the green indicator light was on, and it’s staying on. But my phone won’t turn on. I have tried every step by step to resolve this problem. And the green Led light has been on the entire time and is still on. Please help me with this issue ASAP. Thank you for your time.

Solution: When the green LED light of the phone is glowing this mean that the phone is connected to its charger and is fully charged. If the phone is not connected to the charger and the green LED light is still lit with the phone not turning on then you will have to perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. In case if it doesn’t then try starting the phone in recovery mode and from here perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S8+ Not Turning On After Getting Wet

Problem: I lost my phone in a waterfall after 5 hours i found it in the water , i didn’t turn it on for 3 days , after 3 days i put it on charger the device showed me the charging sign and it was blinking and not charging . And i can’t turn it on What should i do plz help me

Solution: There’s a possibility that some water might have entered the phone. To fix this problem you should place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air then charge the device first for at least 20 minutes. Try turning on the phone after charging it. In case the issue persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Solution: There’s a possibility that this is caused by a software glitch. To check if this is the case you should wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode. Once this is done backup the phone data then do a factory reset. In case the issue still occurs after the reset then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
