Nexus 6P Keeps On Rebooting

Problem: Hi, My phone keeps rebooting itself. I tried and out the phone on safe mode, the problem still persists. I bought this phone in Jan 2016 and it was working fine until Nov 30th. I have also removed the cache data. Now i am not able to transfer the file as the phone constantly keeps rebooting. How do I solve this issue?

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that you will loose your phone data if you do this step.

  • Power off the phone
  • Hold the volume and power down buttons simultaneously
  • When the options screen appears, use the volume down button to select Recovery
  • Press the power button to confirm your selection
  • When you see the Android robot, hold down the power button
  • Keeping the power button held in, press the volume up button
  • Use the volume down button to navigate to Wipe Data / Factory Reset
  • Press the power button to confirm your choice
  • Select Yes – Delete All User Data
  • Use the power button to confirm your choice
  • Select Reboot System Now

If the issue persists after performing this step then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

Nexus 6P Volume Is Low

Problem: Hello I have a moderate hearing loss. Was using a HTC One M7 with great results as far as the volume goes. But when I switched to a Nexus 6P smartphone recently, the volume went way down and I have to strain to hear on Netflix, YouTube, etc. Just wondering if there might be an app or a way to increase the volume without having to buy a expensive pair of earbuds. Was using Koss Sparkplugs with great results but now they aren’t as loud as before. Have tried a couple volume apps to no avail. Just wondering if you might know of an inexpensive solution.

Solution: What you should do is to make sure that the volume level of the phone is set to its maximum level. If it is already set to its maximum level and it is not loud enough then there is no other way to increase this further. You should consider connecting the phone to an external speaker so as to increase its volume.

Nexus 6P Not Charging

Problem: Hi, I have problem with my huawei nexus 6p that can not charging. The phone always turned on by itself when I put to the charge, then off again because no battery. This already happened since yesterday. Looking forward to your assistance.

Solution: If the phone only turns on when it is connected to its charger and immediately turns off then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. You can however perform the troubleshooting steps listed below to check if other factors are causing this problem.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
  • Try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.
  • Check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should have the battery of the phone checked at a service center.

Nexus 6P Stuck In Flashing Google Logo

Problem: Hiya. I have a nexus 6p that’s almost a year old. Yesterday, while in the middle of scrolling through an app, I plugged it in to charge (not the original charger but I’ve tried 2 different wires and plugs, so not the issue here) and it abruptly shut off. Now, the only thing that happens is the start-up Google logo. It flashes on and off. Getting into the boot loader is possible, but I can’t get beyond that screen either. Any suggestions?

Related Problem: My mobile flashing Google on and off. I have went to reboot mode to choose recovery mode but when i press on the recovery mode, the recovery mode options doesn’t appear, in turn back to flashing Google on and off. Tried rebooting even in recovery mode but does not work..

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to connect your phone to a charger that is known to work. Next, you should start the phone in recovery mode and from here wipe the cache partition of the device then follow this up with a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

In case the issue still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

Nexus 6P Ghost Touch

Problem: Hi, i’m getting frustrated with the nexus 6p. Everything is in good working order, no root and have tried factory reset and cache clean. The problem i’m having is sort of a ghost touching the three lower buttons, back, home and recent. It can be fine for a few minutes, then one of the buttons are touched (i can see the white on the button, as if i was touching it myself) and it gets worse fast. sometimes all three buttons are being touched while the phone is not even in my hand.  It’s been like this for maybe 6 months. both on android 7 and after the new update to 8. i’ve removed and tried without cases, same thing. i have also removed screen protector. The issue is the same when the phone is cold, hot, charging and discharging. the phone has not had any falls, only once from the sofa down on the carpet, in a case, so i guess it is not something with how it’s been handled. When the ghost touches are there, it seems like it gets worse when i push the lower of the phone harder, between my fingers. Now i’m getting ready to give it up, but it’s such a nice phone with great camera and decent battery, so i’d love to keep it for a while. I don’t know if this is something huawei knows about, or can fix? Thanks

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue persists then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The other troubleshooting steps that you should consider doing are listed below.

  • Make sure that your phone is running on the latest software version.
  • Check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then the best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
