S6 Screen Flickers
Problem: For the last 2 days i have been experiencing some issues with my s6. Sometimes, fractions of the screen flicker to static or past screen and i haven’t ever dropped my phone. For example i would use snapchat and there would be some of the snapchat chat section overlapping my keyboard, and static in certain parts of my keyboard and the top toolbar would become static. This has also started to occur even when browsing the internet. Thanks for the help
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular issue is to check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. To do this you will need to start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone is started this way only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the issue does not occur then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. In case the issue occurs in this mode then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode. Restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be a hardware related issue possibly caused by a faulty display assembly. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
S6 Screen Flashes
Problem: When I have charged my phone and attempt to use it the screen starts flashing and I can’t use it. It then takes an age of holding in the power key for it to turn back on (during which its still Flashing) only for it to start again if I start using it. It’s happening on all kinds of chargers from cable to wireless. Is the phone broken and need replacing or is it a simple fix?
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now for this particular problem is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If the issue still occurs after the reset then this is most likely a hardware related problem already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Gets Hot When Charging Does Not Turn On
Problem: I bought my Galaxy S6 from Verizon Wireless in May 2017. Tonight while charging it became very hot and would not start. Completely blank screen. I am very disappointed with the quality of this phone. I do not use it that often and I didn’t overload it with apps. I would like a full refund. Please notify me how to get this done!
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to disconnect the phone from its charger then perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If the phone does not turn on then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the phone still gets hot then disconnect it from the charger.
- Try charging the phone from a computer USB port. If the phone charges this way then one of the pins of the phone charging port might be damaged.
- Turn on the phone.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to have the phone checked at a service center.
S6 Restarts And Freezes
Problem: My Samsung Galaxy s6 SM-G920I It automatically restarts any time and sometime it freezes also. I have tried everything factory reset, wipe cache, updating firmware via Odin and Smart switch as well. Nothing worked it still freezes after sometime. Service centre personals ask me to replace the motherboard. Is there anything else i can do apart from that ?
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset and even flashed the phone software which doesn’t fix the problem then it’s very likely that this is caused by a faulty hardware component. Replacing the whole motherboard will mostl likely fix this problem however if the exact component that is failing to work can be spotted and replaced then this might be a cheaper option.
S6 Not Sending Text Message
Problem: Whenever i go to text someone it always doesn’t send I’d turn airplane mode on and off but it isn’t working I put it into safe mode and went out of it then it started sending text no problem until like 5 mins ago where all I can do is constantly turn airplane mode off and on to constantly to send one message at a time
Solution: It’s very likely that this issue is caused by a software glitch. Try clearing the cache and data of the text messaging app first from the application manager then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Can you send a text message without any issues in this mode? If you don’t experience any problems then an app that you downloaded could be the culprit. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Sound Not Working
Problem: My phone sound have stop working. I can not hear my phone ringing. The only way that I can tell that a call is coming in is when I look at my phone and see someone calling. Please tell me what is going on with my phone.
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to make sure that the sound setting of the phone is properly set.
- From the home screen, tap and drag the Notifications bar downwards.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Scroll to, then tap Sounds and notifications.
- To change the volume of incoming calls, media, system and notifications, tap Volume.

S6 Can’t Make Call
Problem: I got a Samsung galaxy model:sm-s906l (really nice phone by the way). I put my sim card In it which my sim is straight talk anyhow put my sim in and worked great for two days I picked up my phone to call someone wouldn’t call out or message so I used my landline to call it no Ring or anything
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to make sure that the phone has a signal. If it does and the issue persists then turn off the phone and remove the SIM card. Try placing the SIM in another phone and check if the same problem occurs. If it does then you will need to contact your carrier regarding this matter. If however the issue does not occur when the SIM is inserted in another phone then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the issue persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
