J3 Process.Com.Android.Phone Has Stopped

Problem: I boot my phone, (Samsung j3) and am seeing unfortunately, the process( com.android. phone )has stopped. it’s not showing Applications at all, I have reset It many times from the recovery mode of my phone, yet it’s not working, please I need your help. What should I do again. Thanks

Solution: This issue is usually caused by some form of corrupt data in the phone app. To fix this you should follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Try clearing the cache and data of the phone app first from the application manager. Once this is done try checking if the issue still occurs.
  • In case the issue persists clear the cache and data of the SIM toolkit app as well.
  • One last troubleshooting step to consider is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

J3 Stopped Turning On

Problem: Hello, my Samsung Galaxy J3 has recently stopped turning on. I was roller skating and fell down with it in my pocket. I don’t think I landed on the phone, there’s also no physical damage to it. The screen won’t turn on at all, even when it’s plugged in to the charger (which is working). I’ve tried soft rebooting the phone, and I’ve followed you guys’ guide on the J3 Black screen of death, but no matter what I do I get no response or indication that my phone still works.

Related Problem: Hi there, My phone battery drained and it’s not charging or giving any sign of working. The charger is fine, I tried it with another phone and it works. I tried cleaning the part on the phone too. I also tried pushing volume down and power button together for 10 seconds…didn’t work. The phone is 3 months old and nothing happened to it. I can’t open the battery cover as it’s the new version of the phone. Thank you!

Related Problem: Phone wont charge, connected to the wall shows the lighting sign of charge but battery always showing 0%, tried doing the factory reset but won’t solve the problem its a 2017 model, phone was working fine until battery fully died before I got to a charger. kind regards

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to make sure that the phone battery has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger.
  • If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
  • Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

In case the issue persists then you will have to bring this to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Delay in Receiving Text Messages

Problem: My husband has a Samsung J3.  He is having severe delays with text messaging.  I went to safe mode and the delays were not present.  I uninstalled his Avast security and Avast battery saver.  Also uninstalled local weather app.  He is also having trouble downloading/installing apps from google play.  He has very few apps on his phone.  I receive his text quickly on my phone.  Takes hours for his phone to receive texts.  Have done everything I can find except hard reset.  Any suggestions?   Thanks so much!

Solution: If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode then it’s very likely caused by an app downloaded in the phone. Try finding what app this is and uninstall it. Since the phone is also having issue getting apps from the Google Play Store then I would recommend doing a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data so make sure to make a backup copy first before proceeding.

J3 Restart Loop

Problem: Hi. I’m having problems with my samsung J3 originally bought from T-mobile now I have AT&T pay as you go.. Since some days it restarts while using, but after cleaning the cache the problem was solved, at least for a while. But now it is in a restart loop, with a pixelated screen (i should be T-mobile screen), that doesn’t reach the samsung screen, Thus I can’t access any of the system menu. Also it seems that the power button is unresponsive, because when I took out the battery and put it back automatically it reboots and I can’t power it off. Thanks!

Solution: If your phone has a microSD card installed then you should remove it first. Once the card is out start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should consider flashing the phone with its updated firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.

Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

J3 Not Booting To Bootloader

Problem: Someone rooted my friends phone and I did a factory rest and cleared the data and cache. It started up just fine but when she went to sign into her gmail account it said it had not been synced but it had. So now I’m trying to reboot it back to the bootloader but its taking forever. Any suggestions??

Solution: To access the bootloader just follow the steps listed below.

  • Power off your Galaxy J3. Press and hold the Power key, tap Power off and then touch POWER OFF to confirm.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
  • When the device logo screen displays, release only the Power key
  • When the Android logo displays, release all keys (‘Installing system update’ will show for about 30 – 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).

J3 Freezes When Charging

Problem: Anytime I charge my phone and leave it for a few seconds it freezes on the black screen and I can’t turn it back on. Yet it still has the red light saying it’s charging but won’t turn back on. I have to take the battery out and it sometimes will turn back on but the battery is almost dead still as if it didn’t charge at all.

Solution: Try using a different charging cord and wall charger then check if the issue persists. If it does then proceed with the steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
  • Charge the phone.

If the issue remains then you need to have this checked at a service center.
