S6 Edge Screen Has Blinking Line

Problem: This problem about a month ago till now, in my case, I still can use my phone but sometimes suddenly have line blinking on my screen, after that the phone shut down, and I can turn it on again by hold press power key and volume down, and it working but only like 2/3 minutes the same problem come again, I was asking to the service center, they told me that I need to change the LCD/ screen. Is it LCD problem??? Please advise what can I do for that…

Solution: The first thing you should do in this particular case is to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this you just have to start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue still occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the problem still occurs even in Safe Mode then the next step is to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing the problem. To do this you have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the problem still occurs. If it does then it’s possible that this is already caused by a faulty display.

S6 Edge Screen Went Black

Problem: My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge was working this morning and then all of a sudden the screen went black and I can’t get it back.  There is a blue light at the top left.  I have tried several configurations of holding down certain buttons.  I can’t get a soft reset to work.  The lights on the bottom of the phone will light up.  I tried calling my phone and it acts like it is on.  please help!

Solution: The first thing you should try in this particular issue is a simulated battery pull. To do this simultaneously press and hold the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then try charging your phone first for at least 20 minutes then repeat the procedure.

If the issue persists then check if you are able to start the phone in recovery mode. Once the phone is in this mode you can do the following.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone. Restart your phone then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Screen Has Horizontal Line

Problem: At random times there is a horizontal (like perfectly horizontal) line going across the bottom portion of the screen. It is not big, maybe a half a centimeter, however it is quite annoying. We’ve checked and it is definitely the screen and we are wondering if we will need to get the screen replaced

Solution: If the line is still present even after a factory reset ( make sure to backup your phone data first before doing the reset) then you will need to have the screen checked at a service center and possibly have it  replaced.

S6 Edge Home Back Buttons Flicker

Problem: Hi, I am in some desperate need of help! Recently, my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has been acting up to the point where both the home button and the back button flicker repeatedly all day. As a result, this makes it hard to exit out of apps or even close them. This has happened before, but it went away after a simple reset. It’s been raining a lot and couple weeks ago, my phone fell into some water. Now, I don’t know if that’s the cause of the flickering, but I really hope that it doesn’t shut off for good. Please help!

Related Problem: My menu and back button on my S6 edge keeps flickering. The phone will work fine for about 2 mins and then when the bottom lights start flickering the whole screen slows down and glitches. Everytime i receive a message or notification the screen wìll light up and stay on due to the flickering of the bottom lights as it does not allow my screen to shut off. I have tried rebooting and factory resetting my phone but am still stuck with the problem!!

Solution: The first thing you should do in this particular case is to check if the phone software is somehow is causing the problem by performing the steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Does the issue still occur after the reset?

If the issue still occurs at this point then this could already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by the phone getting wet. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S6 Edge Screen Flickering Green After Drop

Problem: I dropped my phone while in the shower and the screen has a small crack on the left upper edge part of the screen. 3 black lines appeared when I turned on my phone, but there seemed to be no other damage. Now, a day later, the lower half of my screen under the crack is flickering green and will not work. How can I stop the screen from flickering without replacing either my phone or my screen?

Related Problem: My s6 edge got a cracked screen it worked ok for a bit then the screen went green and I was wondering if this is fixable and also how can I delete all my photos etc if it’s not as someone might take it for spares

Solution: Unfortunately the only troubleshooting step that you can do right now is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. If the issue still occurs after the rest then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s possible that in this case the display assembly will have to be replaced.

S6 Edge Screen Is Black

Problem: Screen is black except for a 1.5″ graduated bar of blinking white light, unresponsive to touch, buttons, etc. Now discharged &, apparently, not charging… HELP!!!! I actually have no idea which Android version it’s running.

Related Problem: Hi so the other day I dropped my samsung galaxy s6 edge and picked it up it worked fine. I went on with my day went to sleep used it worked. I then went to sleep and woke up used it, it worked for a bit I was using it for a bit when suddenly it like glitches up and the screen goes black, I try to turn it on and it shows the screen for a bit and then goes black. Is there a simple solution to this or would I need a technician.

Solution: You should ty starting the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then I recommend doing a factory reset since the issue could be caused by a software glitch. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the problem still occurs even in recovery mode then the display assembly of your phone is most likely damaged. Bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
