Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Touch Screen Is Unresponsive To Fingers Issue & Other Related Problems

The #Samsung #Galaxy #Note5 is one of the smartphone models available in the market that has a beautiful large display. This particular model uses a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display screen that has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. While we are already seeing phones with much higher pixel densities this device is still able to effectively compete with these models since pictures that appear on the screen appear bright and vivid. Despite the fact that this phone is best known for using this excellent display type there are instances when certain screen issues can occur. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy Note 4 screen is unresponsive to fingers issue & other related problems.

Note 5 Touch Screen Is Unresponsive To Fingers

Problem: my samsung note 5 touch screen doesn’t respond with my finger but it is responding by spen. This problem is from last 2/3 days. I have done factory reset and reboot my phone for 2/3 times but this problem was not solved. Can anyone help me to solve my problem.

Related Problem: Hello,  I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but my touchscreen is unresponsive when I try to use my fingers. I have tried to look on Youtube for solutions but nothing has worked. Would you be able to help me please.  Thank you.

Related Problem: My note 5 wont recognize my finger on any part of the screen it only works with the same pen I have tried restarting the phone, factory resetting it, also tried turning the interaction on in settings nothing has worked.

Related Problem: My Samsung galaxy note 5 screen is unresponsive. It doesn’t work with the touch of my finger but works with the S pen. I’ve tried doing a factory reset and still wont work. I’ve tried typing in *#2663*# and its says unfortunately device string has stopped my carrier is Sprint. I would really appreciate any advice.

Solution: Since you already performed a factory reset then it’s safe to assume that this isn’t caused by a software glitch. Does your phone have a screen protector installed? Try removing this as this might be causing the problem.

If your phone doesn’t have a screen protector then this could already be caused by a faulty digitizer. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 5 Screen Flashing Green After Getting Wet

Problem: Phone got wet through a pocket and an otter-box case. First the lock button would no longer work and now the screen will flash green. It’s low on battery so I tried to plug it in, this made the screen flash green constantly and then it restarted. When I unplugged it the phone started back up. But will keep flashing green or with a white/ overexposed screen. I now have the phone on power saving mode because I’m waiting on an important text. Have never had problems with the phone before.

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to ensure that the internal hardware of the phone is free from liquid or moisture. To do this just place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. Once the 48 hours are over try to check if the same issue occurs. Should the problem persist then this could already be caused by a malfunctioning internal component due to water contact. If this is the case then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 5 Got Dropped Now Screen Is Black

Problem: Dropped the phone the other day and the screen no longer turns on. Well the phone comes on but it doesn’t light up. The notification light comes on Orange when I put it on the charger. And when I cut the phone on the blue notification light comes on and stays on no blinking or anything just lit up. But the phone screen itself is black. Do I need a new LCD or what???

Solution: Try checking if the screen works in recovery mode. If it does then I recommend that you do a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above step doesn’t work then it’s either the connection between the display and the phone’s motherboard has become loose or the display has been damaged by the drop. For this you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 5 Screen Not Responsive To S Pen

Problem: Good morning… The screen is responsive to my fingers BUT NOT WITH MY S PEN My S pen works on another note 5 and i tried factory setting and it didn’t fix this problem PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS VEXING PROBLEM

Related Problem: Hi, I just broke my LCD screen and got it replaced professionally at full price but when I got the phone back, the s pen no longer worked at any part of the screen besides for the first half inch of the top. How can I help this? Thanks

Solution: You performed the correct troubleshooting steps for this particular issue. Since the problem still remains then it’s possible that the digitizer is faulty. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 5 Screen Is Not Working

Problem: I bought a Galaxy Note 5 and about 2 days after I got it the screen will not work. The buttons at the bottom light up and the phone will make noise. It will ring, but nothing shows up on the screen.

Related Problem: The bottom part of the screen wont work at all. The bottom right sometimes does. When you try to use the keyboard the bottom row won’t respond or it would just click the letter above it.

Solution: If your phone has a screen protector installed then remove it first before doing the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then this could already be a hardware related issue. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 5 Not Responding After Drop

Problem: My Note 5 was dropped once with the phone cover still on, and air pockets appeared at the top of the screen, and the phone became completely unresponsive except for the blue notification light that does not fade. I had dropped my Note 3 over 20 times but nothing has happened to it. Can I know how do it solve this?

Solution: Try starting the phone in recovery mode then check if the screen works in this mode. If it  does then you have to do a factory reset. Take note this reset will erase your phone data. If the screen doesn’t work even in recovery mode then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
